Hipsters make no fucking sense. They try to shove some band they like down your throat and they try to get you to like them. But once you start listening and other people start listening they get pissed that their beloved band is becoming "mainstream" and "selling out". Don't you want your favorite band to be successful? People should just be happy that Dan and Pat are successful. If your favorite band becomes popular you should be happy and keep supporting them so that they keep playing.

Honestly, how the hell did the foo fighters win anything at the grammy's. This is by far the best rock album of the year, perhaps decade (Brothers was fucking amazing as well). I can't believe the black keys didn't perform at the grammy's or didn't even have a nomination. Only shows that people can't appreciate true music.

tl;dr : The Black Keys rule, Foo fighters suck. <3 this song.

I can see how people are freaking out about them gaining so much popularity.. You listen to it and enjoy being able to say "I listen to these guys" and, having your friends go "WHATS THAT?!?!?" And it gives you a sense of being differnt.. Instead of feeling like your independence has been stolen from you, feel that you have shared an amazing discovery of something that SHOULD be enjoyed by alot of people, instead of the other crap people usually listen to.

Catch a grip people, the very fact you are watching music videos on youtube could be seen as a sell out since they are all plastered in google ads these days. A band evolves its music through expression and creativity on each album. If you want 6 albums of the same sound listen to some other American mainstream crap.

You only have to look at the fact that the band experimented with hip hop on BlackRoc to see that they have a genuine interest in many forms of music. This is how it should be.

@PSExposed well there first few albums had a classic blues rock sound and were really great but they were not very none. but then they cameout with brother and like the album somewhat but it was to pop compared to there other stuff but that made them go mainstream and now they new albums out and its even more pop-py than the last. they were better when they were a cult band

@RockNfuckinRoller97 Music kind of evolves though. They still have a blues rock sound, their music just seems to have a bit more energy to it. Personally, i really like El Camino, and I've been listening to the black keys for years. The sound of this album might not be for everyone, but they definitely didn't sell out. Selling out would be doing degrading commercials for a bit of extra cash. The Black Keys are about the music, not the money.
