Lenny is living in a flat in Enfield. Everything he has including his computer, tv, hoover, bed, bedding, clothing etc came directly from the proceeds made from his record release. Bazzzman did not make a penny from this. Bazzzman became great friends with Lenny and dedicated a lot of his personal time to helping him. The local council had completely written Lenny off and didn't even make the effort to understand his mental health. Without Bazzzman Lenny would still be on the streets.
Given the situation portrayed, Lenny must have been at the top of the list for a pace for years. But it is not as simple as just giving him a flat -- he couldn't manage without proper help. And, as well intended as it is, that song won't raise enough to buy him a bar of soap.
