However, because they werent happy, King and Gaahl could just have left and tried to make a better band without Infernus, and therefore quit Gorgoroth. It doesnt matter which band is better, or more popular, the band with Infernus MUST be Gorgoroth. You cant just join a band, and then take it with you when you leave.

Actually there would have been a Gorgoroth without Gaahl and King, just as there has been for almost a decade before either of them joined in. Gaahl is the 3rd vocalist, and King is the 8th basist. Infernus founded and never left the band, and has composed the vast majority of the bands material (and all of the good material).

What happened was that King surreptitiously went ahead and obtained the legal rights for the name and logo of Gorgoroth from the appropraite norwegian authorities so that gorgoroth became technically his. Then together, Gaahl and King suprised Infernus with the news that they did not want him in what he thought was his band anymore, and that the band is thiers (actually Kings).

What troubles me is that King and especially Gaahl are normally very honest, direct, and individualistic. However, they have also both become very commited to spreading thier Ideology. They see the primary purpose of Gorgoroth as a vehicle for thier ideology, as opposed to mere artistic expression, and Infernus does not share thier ideology or vision for what Gorgoroth could be. So they found it necessary to abandon thier own principles in the service of thier ideology.

My first priority was to choose lyrics that sound realistic. The reason I chose the gay theme is probably a bit of luck, but also the sheer number of sexual innuendos available makes the lyrical interpretation extremely flexible (almost anything can be a sexual innuendo). Since Gaahl and King are the same sex, homosexuality was inevitable. I know that Gaahl is asexual, and I fully support the rights of asexuals to marry each other LOL.
