Hi, I have the same set up, I am using Yongnuo Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 aswell, 5d mark II and a 550ex speedlite, was just wondering if you could show me the setup to syncronize the transmitter and the speedlite, been fiddling and couldnt work out, flash is not firing at all, please help me with the set up, please would appreciate if you could help me.
@haileydraff hello, I put the 430EX in slave mode, thats it. You must put the flash in the same channel as the ST-E2 (1,2,3 or 4) and use group A,B or C (you can manage group C only from the menu of the camera).
@xemuz I understand what youo are saying. I more than anything wish youtube would not show us videos in search that are not in english. Funny thing is most of the awesome reviews of things are not in english...... I was not trying to sound like an english speaking jerk. I hope you understand my point,
Unfortunaely the title is in English but the language is not, wasted time going to view, either put the title in the language of the speaker or convert it to the language of the title.
@omgswat Yes, your Russian is nice to read, sorry my movie is in Dutch.....
What I'm saying is that the Yongnuo Speedlite uses normal AA batteries and it's head can rotate to get the IR signal better to the speedlite. I also mention also the 3 groups and the ratio between A and B group and the extra C group. There are 4 channels to work with (in case more people work with the same transmitter)
Greetings Michael: This is the Russian version, translate by google:
@liqueurstudio Yes, Sorry my movie is in Dutch, but the message is clear, the Yongnuo is a great IR transmitter with normal AA batteries and a head that can turn left or right. And you pay less than Canon.
I used the Yongnuo in daylight even on a sunny day, no problem with the IR signal. And I used it on my strobist workshops....moost people like te Yongnuo ST-E2.. I hope the new speedlite YN565 EX will also be a success
Can you control the output of the speedlight's power manually?

@james07jamesjames
No only e-TTL no manual mode.
If you like manual mode look for the Pixel King.
