  • when I try to do the step at 2:10 the first selected part around the eye deselects. Is there a reason why its happening?

  • @memoivoila Aww... You're so nice! I just love it when people just randomly give me nice compliments like that! I hope you'll have a wonderful day because you just made mine! :)

PS. I feel like making tutorials all over again because of you!

  • @PixelCreativity Why did u stop?

  • @memoivoila I guess it was a combination of losing interest, not getting a YouTube partnership, and losing support from the Pixelmator Team... Sometimes I do think of restarting my videos because I feel I left all of you guys very suddenly and without warning. I'm sorry. :(

  • @PixelCreativity OK : [

  • When I do this I can draw out the circle over the pupil but once I let go it acts like nothing happened.

  • nice video man. :)

  • Good job! ;)

  • Now make rainbow eyes! LOL, but seriously, can you?

  • This is an awesome tutorial!! Except my pixelmator wont let me colorize it.... when i go to click colorize it's grey and won't let me!! please help??

  • Thanks, now I know how to change color of an object in PixelMator. Thanks again.

  • You PROBABLY won't believe me, but I can change my eyes to blue, green, aqua, and stuff like that. (My real eye-color is blue)

  • when i try to also highlight the pupil of my eye..it deselects the other section. how do i fix that?

  • Thanks, I had to fix a "green eye" on a dog's photo and it was very helpful

  • How do you do this thing for real on real life? :P

  • @keevsmith Haha! You can actually buy colored filter things to place in your eyes!

  • How do you do this on real life? :P

  • @fishryan101 Good! My friend once had the same problem!

  • @fishryan101 You have your tool options hidden. Turn them back on by going to View>Show Tool Options.

  • Fantastci effect! REally cool thankss so much!

  • looks nice, another job well done.

  • Cool!!! Nice video man.

  • Great video quality and great video! I always thought this was really hard to do on pixelmator..... you just showed me it wasn't! Thanks a lot, now I can mess up the eye colour of family members in group pictures... ! :)

  • @LaTiquette Thanks you very much!

My more recent videos have been uploaded in better quality since I use Screenflick (a fantastic program you should check out) that records in HD. Well, my videos are there to show that Pixelmator can be used as an alternative to Gimp and PhotoShop!

  • Yeah, I've checked out Screenflick and it seems great! It gives a really good video quality even in full screen mode!

  • @LaTiquette Yeah, It is really good! It can record keystrokes and mouse clicks to add effects! I agree, when you choose 720p and make the video full-screen, you can really see that it's high definition!

  • wow really? That's great! By the way, I think you are doing a great job advertising Screenflick, keep going!

  • @LaTiquette Thanks again!

  • Bravo Bravo BROVE . Wow . Very nice indeed . So hold the space bar and move the selection . I would fill the selection with color to move it around . also the third one to the right in tools option for the marquee tool , helped me to understand it better . Yes I did learn something from this tutorial .

  • @nannyberries Thanks aswell!

Yes, that part is a bit tricky since you have to have two keys held down at the same time (space and shift). And just a tip, to actually get the selection, do not let go of the keys first, let go of the mouse button first. Or else the selection won't be how you wanted it.

I'm glad you understood by what I meant when saying the 3rd selection to the right! I thought people might get confused. I just see many tutorials that miss out little steps like those.

  • Wow, great video.

I actually always wanted to know how to do this correctly, because i could do it in photoshop but i was worried about pixelmator, so thanks alot easy to follow very solid tutorial.

  • @blbenton Thanks!

Well, there are subtle differences between the two programs, which can make it hard to switch from one to the other...

  • I really like this tutorial! Very easy to follow and great quality.

PS. Thanks for doing my requested video; I really wanted to know how to do this.....

  • @Smanichi Thank you very much for the nice comments!
