If money is to have value, there must be interest paid on a loan. The reasoning is that it hurts to part with my money and I will need the extra money to make up for not having control of the money for investment and enjoyment. Raising interests means the money is more valuable and the pain of not having it for investment purposes is greater. Irrational exuberance existed because of interest rates that were too low. Beck keeps making a mistake here. He is referring to a fed bill that is cosponsored by Demint. This bill is S 604 and so far it only has two cosponsors. S 604 is the Senates version of HR 1207 which was written by Rep Ron Paul and has 237 cosponsors. Whether it is a mistake or intentional I don't know but I have to give Beck the benefit of the doubt. There was a time when I laughed when someone tried to explain the fed to me. We all start somewhere.
