  • Hi! How many episodies does your series have? Everytime I try to do a series, my game crashes. That's bad luck... :(

  • @Fotografaguay I've done 31 episodes so far. Sorry to hear about your computer problems. The game can misbehave a bit and cause crashes as it's so complex. I hope you manage to stop yours crashing for long enough to get a series done. It's fun :)

  • he sounds like the guy that fed people to the pigs in snatch.

  • @MrAudi0artist Hehe, he does a bit, same kinda accent, lol.

  • Where did you get alexzanders clothes

  • @FunkMonkeyInc Most of his stuff initially was base game content, but I usually get his clothes from Club Crymsyn. Aikea Guinea does some really cool custom content, especially gothic/punk clothing and accessories.

  • ive got to say. i think that this is the first voice over series

  • @FunkMonkeyInc I think it was one of the first for Sims 3 :)

  • How did Isabel done that gesture at 03:33?

  • @Fotografaguay I can't recall exactly what it was I triggered, it was a while back lol, but I think it was one of the reactions, or traits. I'm not at my sims computer at the moment to check either. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

  • Just started watching your series SS, I notice we have used some of the same music in our series. Great episode, It's gonna take a long time to catch up!

  • @jinjaninjaproduction Thanks :) Glad you enjoyed the episode. Yeah, I noticed quite a few of us use the same music, probably because we use as lot of Royalty free stuff. I try to use as much Creative Commons music as I can. It sure will take quite a while to catch up with 30 eps lol. I have some catching up to do myself too.

  • 4:42 the tension is killing me!!!! Is he gonna kill him or not??!?!? LOL!!

  • @bluejuiseritsma Awesome, it's so cool the tension in the scene worked :)

  • The girl is good. ¿Or not?

  • @Fotografaguay Which girl? Alyssa or Isabel (Alyssa is the one with purple hair).

  • @SSMusicProductions I refer to the girl who wears glasses and seems to be Alexander's friend.

  • @Fotografaguay Yes she is good.

  • it works for the sim charecter strangely enough lol i have a weird accent too

  • @SalemVaykioLavaunch Awesome :) And thanks.

  • Is it just me or does the main charecter sound a little country cowboy british? i was a little hesistent watching the series but im glad i did. beautifully exicuted.

  • @SalemVaykioLavaunch It's probably my weird accent lol. Glad you're enjoying the series though :)

  • Just for the record, I've never done it before but you can put your own videos on the TV easily by replacing the default files (as long as the video is the right dimensions)

It's just like custom music :)

    btw this is awesome! :D

  • @Mippitty Thanks, glad you're enjoying the series :) Indeed custom footage can be added so it shows up on the TV. I tend to use video overlays and track motion, but I may replace the files instead.

  • man I recommend getting custom content so they look killer. like hairs and even default skin to make it look more detailed too. and eye lenses there;s a lot of great ones. try them from modthesims, the creators there are great people.

  • @PlatinumCyGirl These were made real early on where there wasn't much around. I agree, there are some awesome CC creators around. I started using some in later episodes, from 12 onwards, like skins, eyes, and other cool custom content. I also started filming in uncompressed from ep 12 onwards so the overall quality is better :)

  • @SSMusicProductions Cool XD! (Im watching episode 10)Can't wait till I see how they look! hmm Anubis360 a great creator with female hair recouloring and female clothes. there's ladyfrontbum she has nice default skins. Well I'm sure u know that anyway ^_^. I remember when I learned that u could make the sims look amazing ahh I went crazy on hairstyles and a few clothes!

  • Hmm I just started watching machinima, its pretty cool!

  • @PlatinumCyGirl Machinima is fun to make :)

  • Omg how do u control what they all do?!

  • @CallMeCalista1 I use mods to trigger animations a lot of the time, or just make them do things like talk or walk to a specific point. I also have free will turned off so they don't do anything weird during filming lol. Doesn't mean they don't misbehave at times though, lol, and it often takes quite a bit of footage to get one scene done. I often use devious camera and editing tricks too.

  • Is there a cheat for making those vids appear on ur tv?

  • @Geibaby37 There isn't a cheat as far as I know, instead I use Vegas to do this by overlaying the footage I wanna use on the TV and resizing it. It would be easier if the TV could be greenscreened though but the color of the screen can't be changed, not unless I made a new TV myself.

  • when does the girl at 6:02 come back in the storie? when they return from egypt?

  • @katiaprotectorGW Indeed :) Alyssa will make an appearance shortly, but since they've been in Egypt it wouldn't have worked with the story while they were there.

  • I love it nice:)

  • @TheSpongiefun99 Thanks :)

  • Ok whats funny is looking back here father protested her going out with Alex but geez was this dude beating her up a better option lol.

  • @stevensjobs lol true, but the father wasn't aware of this.

  • how did u remove the ball of dust when they fight?

  • @TheSims3Boy It's a mod called NoFightEffects. Not sure where I got it from but probably modthesims. Hope that helps :)

  • wow excellent.

  • @stevensjobs Thanks :)

  • Hi I like your series, how do you film your charcters without having the little green diamonds on their heads like they do when you're playing the sims 3 game?

  • @DCThacker Thanks :) To remove the thought bubbles and green diamond I use the cheat console, and the hideheadlineeffects cheat. To activate the cheats, press CTRL, SHIFT and C at the same time. Then type testingcheatsenabled true - once you've done this type in hideheadlineeffects on. Hope that helps :)

  • @SSMusicProductions dude i LOVE watching this machinima! so creepy, suspensful and exciting all at once!!

  • @GXORBIT Thanks :) It's definitely fun to make, and seeing plotlines and characters come to life in a movie.

  • This is my favorite sims series! The voices with accents make it even better! :)

  • @rubydr23 Thanks :) The accents are fun to do :)

  • @SSMusicProductions r u going to make any more sims series?

  • I'm going to watch this series from beginning to end :3

  • @qaz474 Awesome :) Hope you enjoy it.

  • @SSMusicProductions I love how you add voices. Not many people do that. They'll just add boring subtitles for you to read. P.s love your accent :D

  • @qaz474 Thanks :) I wanted to attempt adding voices, even though it's my first ever series, to make it as much like a TV show as possible. It's so cool you like my accent :)

  • @SSMusicProductions Can't wait until your next series :D

  • @qaz474 Thanks :) I plan to start working on episode 21 once the musical is finished for SIFF, which will go live on 15 September.

  • Wow! This is amazing! Going on to the next episodes.

  • @XxxFuzziexxX Thanks :) It's awesome you're enjoying the series so far.

  • this is so amazing i like the music too!

  • @ThePogomojo88 Thanks :) It takes me a while to find just the right piece of music for each scene, so it's cool you like it.

  • At some parts, the voice you do for Alex reminds me of Bill from true blood.

  • @avanguline Thanks - he's a decent actor so that's a huge compliment. I'm always wondering whether my acting works or not.

  • i only have two words to describe the series:

    epicly great!

    :3

  • @Otacon12341 Thanks :) I'm glad you're enjoying the series. It's awesome when all the hard work in making machinima is appreciated.

  • gay lol new Zealnders a better that stupid Aussies

  • A! I PEED MY PANTS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YAYYYYY AUSTRALIAN-ACCENTED GANGSTER DUDE!!!!! Finally, we get a strong accented (Australian) person in the VA world :D

  • Curious - it was supposed to be a Brit dialect but it's cool that it's an Australian accent too. I didn't realize this - I'm still learning about different accents, hence I butcher some of them at times, lol. Incidentally which region?

  • we-e-ll, Australia is smaller in states than America so our accents don't really change. Though some people get us mixed up with New Zealanders who are COMPLETLY DIFFERENT. Now that I've finished watching all the EOE eps so far, I've noticed there is a hint of Brit accent in there. But yes, its a mix of both and I love it!! :DDD

  • @julietadivabear Awesome :) Thanks for clarifying. It's always useful to learn more about accents, as it's sometimes difficult to know exactly what region an accent is from.

  • I watched the first episode & was very impressed :)

But this one doesn't seem to want to load :s

    Rather dissapointing.

    Hope it's my internet connection.

  • Thanks :) Glad you liked Ep 1.

I checked the copyright info and there are no worldwide restrictions so I suspect youtube was misbehaving. It seemed to play okay when I tested it, but I've had the same problems with other videos before. Hopefully, it'll load okay.

  • Awesome man. I love how you use voices in your series. Many people who make a series with the sims just have lame subtitles.

  • Thanks :) Using voices is far trickier and takes more time, but I wanted to make it like a proper TV show as much as possible. It's so cool you like the voices :)

  • I freaked out when the phantoms appeared guess I'm sorry I can't see your nice phantom part.

  • any single gothic guys out there that are looking for a date hihi

  • Amazing synchro and using of sound effects + background music! The movings and facial expressions fit really good to the voices. Like the way you show the conversation in the car... the changes from in and out (my English isn't good enough to explain it perfect... grrrrr)

    greetings

  • Thanks :) I try to synchronize it as much as possible, although it can be difficult sometimes. And I use a lot of layered sound FX too for some episodes, especially this one :)

  • lol! you guys are fucking weird!!!! u do NOT know

    how to make a show.

  • I got a WTF reaction - awesome, lol. Well, I'm certainly not mainstream I admit. There isn't really a right or wrong way of making a show, each person/director is unique. Some people will appreciate the style of direction I use, others won't. Diversity is what makes the world interesting.

  • Hiya SS,

(Frazier apparently has issues with a lot of us then :P - we are not in agreement)

Anyway, I wondered if you knew that starting at minute one, that is the 'overpopulation death-lack of a hospital-plague fumes-Grim Reaper' music from the 1602 A.D./1701 A.D. games.

I just found that so funny and wondered if that's where you got it from.

  • I didn't realize about the music lol. That's so cool. I just grab stuff from a few Royalty free sites and it seemed to fit the scene. Awesome.

  • oops. that music I was talking about begins at the 45 second mark. That's what I meant. :)

  • This is great! Congrats on a brilliant product! I love the storyline so far and-of course- the characters.

  • Thanks :) Much appreciated. I'm definitely having a lot of fun making this series.

  • Damn, This is good. I envy the Editing. You should definitely make a dvd for this. I'll definitely buy it. ***** of *****

  • Awesome :) I may just do that - after the series/first season is complete. A box set - the quality will be high too, and I'll splice all the eps together how they're supposed to be (45 mins each).

  • Lol SLAP ATTACK ! Wow Buff Guy, That Really Isn't Effective.

  • LOL, yeah, that's true. I'm looking forward to using the expansion with more combat animations, should be awesome for filming.

  • i love the goth culture btw any gothic gus looking for a date

  • 5/5

  • Dude, SS you got a fucking talent I am so jealous. You have to have talent to have control over stubborn sims. You have to have talent to put pictures like this together. And most of all you have to have talent if you wrote the script for this. This is insane. I honestly want to see what's next.

  • Thanks. The Sims can be extremely stubborn, I agree, but turning free will off and using lots of cheats helps. I've been writing since I was 12 and always wanted to make a movie. It's definitely fun.

  • OMG.. I love it. Add me :P

  • Faved again. Keep them coming.

  • Thanks :) Ep 4 is a tough beast to film but should hopefully be completed in 2-3 weeks.

  • omg omg omg!!!! totally awsome!!!!!! i cant wait for episode 3 to be uploaded!!!! :) keep up the great work!

  • Thanks :) It's definitely fun seeing characters and plotlines you've written become animated in a movie.

  • u welcome. :) and yeah. :)

  • i love that guys accent

  • Thanks. There'll be lots more from the school of strange accents in future episodes.

  • Awesome :) This next epsiode or two will be tricky as I have plans that are way beyond the scope of the game engine, unless I create new animations, but I'll improvise the best I can. It's really fun seeing plotlines and characters that you've written come to life in a movie :)

  • Hey, I'm just here to say I'm loving your work great use of mods and camera angles and the voice sync was amazing =D keep it up.

Also loving the story can't wait to see where it goes.

  • Thanks :) The voice syncing can be tricky but I find it works better to record the footage first, then modify the script dialog, and adapt the speed with which the lines are said. Sometimes there are glitches, but mostly it seems to work, which is very cool indeed.

  • This was quite well done, if I do say so myself. It makes me want to get the Sims 3(even more) and make movies of my own with it. Since I write stories anyways haha, keep up the good work.

  • Thanks :) It's cool you write stories too :) Sims 3 is definitely fun for making movies, although I'm new to the Sims series (never played the others, heh). What I like is that film sets and characters are so quick to make, and the inbuilt camera is cool too. I do use mods though (some are custom mods that I did myself) as it makes things a lot quicker and easier, especially animations on demand.

  • Any time, yeah i'm hoping one day to become a published author, thats my dream job haha. But I also like to come up with ideas for movies, I am hoping to get the sims 3 today or tomorrow, and after playing around for a bit I may try to make a movie or two. I just wish I had a microphone for voice overs! Can't wait for episode three :D

  • Awesome - I'd like to be a published author too. Sims 3 is definitely fun for unleasing creativity and seeing characters and storylines you've written animated in a movie.

  • I see, then I will definately see what I can do, thank you. Look forward to your future videos, and its good to see that not everyone on the internet is hostile haha. Have a good day, or night, what ever it is where you are.

  • Thanks :) I can't understand the hostility at times either, it's as if imparting info is sacred. Sometimes things are manic for me but I try to answer each comment, if I can. Have a good weekend :)

  • When will the next one be out?

    BTW loved it!

  • Awesome :) It usually takes me around 2-3 weeks to complete each episode, depending on how complex it is.

  • love it =) can't wait for the next one!

  • Thanks :) Will probably take me around 2 -3 weeks if all goes to plan.

  • Great!

I rly like it! You should get so many views than your getting now, this is great and so well done ^_^

Keep up the good work, this is going on my favs

  • Awesome :) This epsiode was a challenging beast to make but it's majorly cool it worked as planned. I'm trying to make the series more like a movie in style and pacing.

  • Well, I'm glad you put a lot of work in your sims 3 videos ^_^ and you got a fan right here :)

  • Again, amazing work! Why don't you have more views? I like that this isn't just any old teenybopper show! Please keep it up and know that at least a few people are watching! =]

  • Thanks :) I deliberately made it less mainstream (my writing tends to be like that, heh), and to appeal to a wide age range who like supernatural horror movies. I haven't promoted it anywhere, so views are low, but I'd much prefer a small, select audience who appreciate the subtelties :)
