Hi, Guys! Can You help me out? I'm planning to write a fanfiction with Avatar, so I'm gathering datas about the cartoon. I'm downloading the episodes and read the wikipedia-stuff, but there is one thing I don't really get and I can't found the answer on the net. So the thing is... I was watching Book 3 when I saw the children from the Fire Nation school and some of them were like the people from the Water Tribe. Why is that?

God, remember this show? Never have I seen a cartoon (a kid's show, no less) so masterfully created. It's deep, existential, thought provoking, and absolutely hilarious. The characters are fleshed out and unique, and even the world they live in and the elements are characters themselves. I cried of laughter and sorrow in every other episode.

This, and another show called Teen Titans, are hands down the finest examples of television shows I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Thank you.

Back about 10 years ago, shortly before before 3DO went bankrupt, one of their last planned projects was a Might and Magic game that focused on elemental magic. One major idea was the ability to combine elements. For example, earth and fire can create lava, air and earth creates sand storms, water and earth creates acid, and so on.

It would be great to see a big budget game like that set in the Avatar world.

Your timing is something to behold. The clips & panning fit the music decisively. It could very well have been a professionals work. My only complaints are; The last shot when it said "Avatar: The last Airbender" I belive it should've been held on for just a moment longer as well as the freeze frames where it stated the characters names. It was hard to catch an would be hard for some audiences to read. Although it may have not gone as well with the music. It was quite chilling.

My one problem i had is that you made fire look totally evil. Aggressive , uncontrollable, destructive. It seemed inappropriate. But other than that I got chills.

At the begining fire and the FN were presented as all evil, but of course that's not true; just like water was presented as good and is not until later we find out about its darker side. Also, I'm not only describing the elements in that part ;)

@Bradio17 Well fire is in fact truly all of those things, it is aggressive, harsh, destructive, and uncontrollable (in a lot of cases like Sozins comet). You forgot to mention that it is also described as "providing light and warmth" so it isn't all bad. You gotta remember that the fire nation used their fire bending to wipe out an nation, so I think it's fair to call them "harsh, aggressive, destructive, and uncontrollable" because that is really what fire bending is used as (for the most part)

Just like in the series, they showed the progression of the thought-line from fire being presented as 'all bad' to fire having its merits, just as water progressed from "serene" and life-giving to "dangerous", and air progressed from "carefree" to "unstoppable".
