Why are we forgetting the difference in era here? I know Senna used to have a car with immense power and less downforce, but those days they weren't bound by many rules. Schumacher was starting to emerge to be one of Senna's best competitors to date but we never had the chance to see that. I just wish today's cars would be devoid of much aids and be more like the early 2000s V10 era.
There is a very interesting point in the Senna/Schumi debate. Schumi's career would have been very different had Senna lived for 2 reasons.
1) Senna would almost certainly have won the 94 & 95 titles (Look how close Hill came)
2) Senna had an agreement with Ferrari to drive for them in 96 upto his planned retirement in 200. As it was Senna died, Schumacher took the Ferrari drive & the rest, as they say, is history
Senna was the best Qualifyer by far. But I guess, Schumacher is the best Mix of aggressivness and controll for the race. That ist the reason, why Senna earn much more poles as wins and Schumacher much more wins as poles. Both are great in their way.
Despite Schumacher had a fraudulent car in that year and despite the Williams was a irregular car so far in the 1994 championship, who was leading the race? Senna: the best!

The F1 lost a lot when senna died not only by losing him but losing the opportunity to witness one of the greatest rivalries. And I do believe Schumacher emerging on top. I don't really think Schumacher was better than Senna. He used an illegal system i.e. traction control on his Benetton. On top of that, Benetton launched B194 a month earlier than FW16 of Williams. Senna only tested the car twice before the season while Schumacher and Benetton had a plenty of opportunities to detect their car's problems.The performance gaps in '94 between 2 were from there.
As much as i dislike shcumi i have to say he was a new star: consistent, fast, smart. He had everything to beat Senna. Do not forget to take in mind how much the FIA tried to maintain intrigue in the championship when schumi was left with hill. Even if Senna survived the accident without being harmed, he would have been 30 points down in the championship against a super fast and consistent rival.
Of course, he used illigal stuff installed in his car and he could have won the championship easily even Senna was there or Senna could have won the championship despite the 3straight retirements in the first 3races in '94. Who knows? What I'm trying to say is that Schumacher's talent was not proven enough compared to Senna's because he has never had any greats as his teammate like Senna / Prost.

fangio is in senna and michael´s league clark too, because he had very bad luck, in 1962 and 1964 he had broken engine, in 1967 he winned more races and in 1968 he was the sure champion (like senna in 1994)

I Love Senna, I Love Schumacher, I Loved Schumacher's races, i can't compare two different legends. Love let me see them just as two champions, but, my heart says one thing about Senna: He was a man more intelligent than any other driver, i don't know why, but he was so superior in the F1 car.

I wish people would stop saying one is better than the other and look at them both as the most talented drivers ever. (Although I would add Fangio in there) simply because of what he achieved in his day. They are both spectacular drivers. Anyone who says that one is a bad driver is an idiot. Let them get into an F1 car and do what either of these two have done. When they have done that tell me im wrong. As for people who say Michael cheated his way to 7 WC, just go away, your ignorant.

@edd55r senna started a race one time at last place... at the end of the race, he was in first. u cant just compare the two. there would have to be a real race to know, which cant so let it be. its like trying to compare mike tyson and mohammid, not possible. its just opinions, in my opinion, senna has it. but thats no certain, so w.e. lol

fangio is in senna and michael´s league clark too, because he had very bad luck, in 1962 and 1964 he had broken engine, in 1967 he winned more races and in 1968 he was the sure champion (like senna in 1994)
