i was born in 1966 saw all the treks ,films, bloopers, and these fine examples on the youtube. I dont like when you guys and girls put down the acting of these fine people when they are at least providing us with drama. Star Trek is a fantastic show and anything not to do with the Earth we are on at least this show has give man a chance to explore his beginnings while facing the new unknown.
@chgohsngauth If you listen very carefully, she doesn't say "cappard's seat." She says "Catbird seat." It's not a very common expression. It refers to having the most enviable position, or the position of highest advantage. I think it's meant sarcastically.
Pretty hot SFX overall - Loved the transporting a person in front of a runnign computer screen - though the captain's acting leaves a bit to be desired. One of the better amateur efforts!

As being a definite "Trekkie" myself, best fan series to date. Though, I'm not one to criticize, they have some horrible actors.
Should portray the Prime Directive here somewhere. Totally left out of the entire run.
I assume she was supposed to say, "Captain's chair" and not "Cappard's chair".
and he was supposed to say, "... Mrs. Smithfield." not "Mr. Smithfield". Look at his face afterwards, he knew it.

Actualy its been established in Star Trek previously that women are still referred to as Sir and Mr.

*Actually it's ..
Yes. Seeing it's military address, they are addressed as Sir. That's a given, as in para-military forms such as police.
Thanks for the clarification.

@chgohsngauth I can see why you are hesitant to criticize, nearly everything you said was demonstratively wrong.

the close-up graphics on the tricorder were impressive.

Agreed. But the tricorder user must have very good eyesight as the displays are small.
