Leave race out of it, then. Search for male scholarships only, now do one for scholarships only available to females. see a difference in search results? Now do a search for male to female ratios on college campuses. Remember this isn't sexism, since it isn't biased against women. Oh, and for those that say sports scholarships cater to men, look up Division 1 NCAA scholarships on Wikipedia. It's a closer split than most think it is. Sure doesn't make up for the huge bias in general scholarships.
whos to say that a white man cant be poor! By only giving scholarships to minorities people are feeding racism. By showing that they know for a fact that minorities in general are underprivileged and not smart enough to qualify for other scholarships. This completely draws attention away from the constitutional freedom of Individualism, and groups people together like animals. "a threat to justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere", Martin Luther King Jr.
Is it racist to think that all minorities need help because they're minorities and that white people especially white males don't need help because they've usually been the majority?
I think everyone is racist and has prejudice on some level. Everyone stereotypes in my opinion.
An African-American male helps fund the organization. I think he is the founder of it actually. I am not certain. But, I saw the African-American on CNN just now. - That is what led me to further search this on YouTube.
I am black and do not support affirmative action on all bases. I believe white men deserve to have scholarships specifically for their demographic because it is very unfair for a white male to be disadvantaged for what their ancestors possibly did to oppress the American minority. We are now far from that. We need to remember the true definition of equality. One people, one country, one unity.
I guess it all depends on your experience. My daughter who is half asian applied to a D3 school. She was in the top 10% of her class and scored 1600 on her sat. A boy who was going to play football who was in the top 25% of his class (both schools with equal enrollment) and scored just enough to get past the sat got 8 grand more than my daughter who was there to play basketball. So where's the equality? Boys who play sports get full blown scholarships.
you're analogy blows. "So where's the equality? Boys who play sports get full blown scholarships." that's not just discriminatory to girls, it also discriminates boys who don't play sports. also, why is it ok to have a black only, or hispanic only, or asian only scholarship, but not a white only scholarship. you're a stupid fucking racist shit head along with everyone who supports any and all race specific scholarships, ALL scholarships should be open to EVERY person

As a latino I say more power to you. You're only doing what us Hispanics and blacks have done for our own. I support it 100%
