I just took a walk on Easter Sunday along the canal, I grew up in Huntinton and never knew about the actual canal. I believe there should be a cleanup effort of the whole area here,but to put condos everywhere is not the total answer, its profiteering by the electric company and taking what little history in Shelton is left and burying with debris into the canal. Not all memories are bad in Shelton including the politics and zoning debacles.What negativity? Its just a video of the area.

The video brings too much negativity on a town that has much more to offer. Every town has its negatives, I mean being an ex Gael and living there for almost 12 years, I gotta say it was Great! I now live in Burr Ridge, IL, where there are tons of million dollar and up homes, I mean even Bo Jackson lives in Burr Ridge, but we still have section 8 housing rigt near us, you can't always live on the negatives lady, its a fantastic city... im glad i hopped the fence and eyewitnessed the canal first handedly before they filled it in. whatever it is they are putting in will be a waste of money and disrespectful to the hardworking people who worked their balls off to create that canal and create a thriving foundation for a town whom now spits on it
