Some of those guys shooting the Lee Enfield would do better in terms of speed and accuracy if they didn't remove the butt from the shoulder when working the bolt for the next shot.
Fantastic event. We have something very similar in New Zealand called 'Service Rifle Shooters'. Mix of 'Old School' weapons and modern MSSA (Military Style Semi Automatics). I will try and post a vid of one of our shoots.
Fully automatic weapons are prohibitted in Canada for those who were not licened for them previous to 1992 (whom are now grandfathered). Other than that Canadians can own registered semi-auto rifles such as the AR15 so long as they are registered with the Federal government.
Yeah, so you can buy guns, but just not military issue ones like you can in the states, and the ones you can buy still have a lot of restrictions on them. Probably best that way.
@sirweldsalot There's more rifles per person in Canada than there is in the U.S. Americans have waaaaay more handguns but you'd be suprised the guns people have up here.
We have had No5Mki1 compete before. They performed quite well. Having said that the shooters developed a bad flinch and did not score very high. They were not terribly familiar with recoil management.
Glad you liked it. Its not that complicated to set one of these up so long as you have good people and volunteers to help you. I'm preparing the 2009 video. Hopefully it works out. Cheerio
As a Highland Piper and competition shooter this is now my favorite video!

I thought firearms were outlawed in Canada? Or they taxed them to the point where you couldn't pwn them?

I want to see a mad minute lol
P.S. That means firing your Enfield as fast as possible for one minute while still being an accurate shot.

This is in Terrace, British Columbia. Bring your fishing rod. Our salmon rival those of Alaska.
