  • watched this movie twice today, great fun! :)

  • 1:37 The Legendary POPCORN!!!!!

  • neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed *clap clap*

  • neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed

  • My daughter and friend said that this movie was boring.

    But I was interesting.

Since it was the movie which offered the hommage to Akira Kurosawa's "Yojinbo(bodyguard)" and spaghetti Western, for me, it was promising plentifully.

It is because the spaghetti Western to which it was opened in Japan that the Japanese actor is speaking English was dubbed into English instead of Italian.

  • Because the spaghetti western was such an "American" genre...

  • @bcbonez in fact was italian.

  • movie looks shitty. they should take some lessons from the chinese, now they know how to make films.

  • @cieloknight

I don't think your stereotype likes you, it made your comment look ignorant and retarded.

  • @cieloknight have you watched it? it's one of the best films I've ever seen. original, corny humor with action packed violence and gore. dont judge something you don't understand

  • @easymelon2187 don't need to see it, i know it's gay. if tarantino had his mitts on it, you know it sucks. only good movies tarantino ever made were kill bill 1 and pulp fiction. just by looking at the trailer i know it's gonna have that tarantino bullshit style of senseless-needless-have-nothing-to-do-with-the-movie-chatter.

  • @cieloknight gay? that's the adjective you're describing something you haven't seen. you are an ignorant tool bag with no real taste in movies. Watch Four rooms, watch Resevoir Dogs, watch Jackie Brown watch Death Proof. You know what, don't watch any of them. Just keep you're brainless uneducated opinion to yourself because I will put my dick in your mouth. and you will love it

  • is too early to get excited with DJANGO UNCHAINED ??????????

  • @barnysan It's MEVER to early!!! :D

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken I mean never...^^

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken MO WAY!

    SUKIYAKI WESTERN DJANGO

The best of the best of MIIKe

  • 2:25 FAIL....

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken *clap*... *clap*

  • There is one simple thing how you can recognize wether the movie is a Tarantino or not..just listen to the soundtrack..and this sounds NOTHING like TARANTINO. Just sayin...

  • Samurai Westerns RULE!

  • Comment removed

  • The movie was fun, but this trailer sucks

  • ugh....i just couldn't watch this movie with all the bad engrish though...

  • So this Japanese movie is based off Django, which is based of A Fistful of Dollars, which is based of the classic Akira Kurosawa film Yojimbo. Strange to think a samurai classic turned to this.

  • 2:27 "clap clap clap"*

  • this looks to be something new and different, just like CRACKWOOD the movie!!!!! llamas , clowns , gun battles and porn stars!!!!!

  • this movie is very overrated....

  • Why the fuck would anyone even think this is a Tarantino movie? It's not even his style at all + The trailer says, I quote: " From the brilliant mind of JAPAN'S most controversial filmmaker, TAKASHI MIIKE" Then a quote of Tarantino ON TAKASHI MIIKE. Watch the trailer you fucking retards.

  • Haven't seen this movie yet, but it seems like a hybrid of both the japanese culture, and Western. There is a Korean movie which is also a mix between the korean culture and the western, it's called 'The Good, The Bad, The Weird' If you guys havent seen it already, i suggest you do. Korea calls this genre the Kimchi Western, maybe japan will call theirs, Wasabi Western, or Sushi Western :P.

  • @BLITZENOVA no the call it sukiyaki western, japanese equivalent to spaghetti western

  • I love this movie, Miike is an awesome director

  • The mix between a western story with japanese culture is just awesome!!

If you add Quentin Tarantino on it.. you got such a terryfic movie! :D

  • Nerdcaaaast!!! "Guillermo Del Toro já teve moral"?"...

  • omg Asian guys are soo HOTT~~~~~

  • What is that song that starts at 0:59? I gets me pumped!

  • @Paboozala its probably a song made specifically for the movie man

  • Does anyone know who Oguri Shun plays in this film, I watched this more than 3 times and still can't find him lol

  • @HiImMuzik14 I think its the red leader

  • @HiImMuzik14 he plays Akira, the guy who was married to Shizuka and the son of Bloody Benton. He's the one who was killed before the actual movie and it was just a flashback scene.

  • @ShiseitenHikari Omg... mannnnnnn! lol thank you. I saw this movie before I even knew about him so thats probably why... :((

  • Is it me or does the Reds always seem somewhat inferior to the whites?

  • jus saw this movie it wuz very unique and funny

  • a few things that you should know before watching the film.

    1) it takes about 50-250 bullets to kill a man

    2) People can heal in hours even if they were beaten to near death

    3) it is possible to clap your hands even when a sword has passed through half your skull

4)it is possible to hit a target from 2 miles away using a revolver with strong wind

just joking people :P. It is a very entertaining movie. If you haven't seen it i recomend you invite a couple of friends over and rent it NOW!

  • @cyberlord64 this movie kicked ass, it made no sense, but it kicked ass.

  • plot is similar to "Zato Ichi and Yojimbo"(staring Shintaro Katsu, Toshiro Mifune)

  • I was wondering is there any other movies related to Sukiyaki western django?

The way this movie was made left allot of openings two to be precise one with the legend of bb (bloody benten) and two well... what the movie is named after lol.

"Django" but yeah.. is there a movie before sukiyaki with bb and is there any plans of a movie with django? because i would really like to see that kid in action.

  • @Fluffykun08 Hi,this movie is a tribute to italian "spaghetti western" movies.

"Django" is a movie directed by Sergio Corbucci:in SWD there are many referrings to that movie (the chaingun in a coffin for example) and to others spaghetti westerns.

I think that the sentence at the end is just a final tribute.(So the movie would appear like a sort of prequel).

For Bloody Benten i read that it was a "fake" trailer, like that in Tarantino's Grindhouse.

But Miike is unpredictable :) let's wait...

  • @tangolinoz Honestly it could be another ten years or even twenty and i would still be psyched if it came out.

  • @Fluffykun08

Watch Yojimbo and A Fistful of Dollars.

  • I can't decide if this looks terrible or totally awesome

  • @ssoftky It looks like it'll be just like that. You either hate it, or love it.

  • ichi the killer was the first Takashi Miike movie i saw and loved it and this is a awsome movie

  • totally underrated Miike masterpiece

  • This movie is AWESOME!!!! I've watched it like 15 time already!!!! NEVER GETS OLD!!!! AMAZINGLY DONE!!!

  • this. movie. is. amazing.

  • I just love how that dude in the hat pronounces road xD epic

  • Once again Takashi Miike proves you can have brass balls to push the envelope in japanese filmmaking.

  • Love Miike, this one is excellent. You need a sense of humour to like his movies.

  • these movieas are nut stupid but artistic and unique.

I think they're not meant for the majority of the people.

thets why people who dont understand these movies says these are bad movies.

  • It only was on my cables premium channels at 1 a.m. Good thing i recorded it on my DVR.

  • I watched this movie last night. It is a must own.

  • 2:28 rules !

  • I bought it because Takashi Miike directed it.

I didn't even know Quentin Tarantino had anything to do with it until I got home and watched it.

    great movie ,

  • badass movie, never heard of this, i will definitely get this one for sure!

  • haters, say what will you will, but Bloody Benton was super-bad-ass.

  • Takshi Miike is one of the very few interesting and innovative directors alive. I didn't like all his movies I saw but they're never a waste of time like most american movies. Anymay It's important to have those few director's that are still doing genre-films. What are people supposed to do otherwise if theydon't like the commercial garbage?

If one thinks this fim doesn't have sense than what does? Teen-Comedys, Saw Pt. 12 or The Mummy Pt. 6 1/2?

  • see a part of it without sound of voices but only a good piece of music, may be it will change your mind

    ;)))

  • the one who says this movie is bad, has a REAL bad movie-taste!! 5/5

  • How come? just think your incapable of seeing the charm of this movie. They are exploring the ways of the western films.

watch reservoir dogs, and if you seriously still says that tarantino is a bad director I think you should change intrest to sports or something.

  • Not saying he's a bad director, just saying he's a dumbass. Good direction but stupid movies, that's all.

  • Well thats not a criteria to say his movies are bad. Thats just your own opinion.

  • It´s a good movie

  • fantastic movie,

laffed so hard i almost peed

  • I Love this movie!

  • I love this movie! Got it on blu- ray, although the ending kinda sucked...didnt really make sense lol

  • Voltando ao NerdCast [2]

  • Voltando ao nerdcast

  • Im sure itll be badass Miike films usually are twisted and fun. Im left with a bit of a feeling of dread that Tarantino is cast in it though. The mans got decent taste and I like many of his films but hes G'damn annoying on screen imo. Lookin foreward to seein this though.

  • Yo, are you on coke? Do you have OCD or something? If not, then shut the fuck up already.

  • sorry yakuza not samurai. wtf is it with someone giving an opinion and people come in here and bash people. its just someones fucking opinion. get a life if your going to make remarks on everyones spelling on here. im betting your japanese, i speak about a months worth of chinnese and japanese as well as spanish.

  • i wonder why i never post, it appears my heckler isnt even white.

it appears i have struck a nerve.

well white people arent the only racist people in the land.

Watch Kung Fu Husle a great gang movie or kill bill 1 and 2. end of rant.

  • Comment removed

  • sorry acting/dialog/cinematography i think thiers one messup in the begginng of this that Quinton shoots a guy and blood spatters on the sky and for 5 seconds you can see that its a picture of the sky and a set as blood spatters on the sky. cmon i expect that of watching classic startrek tv show, not master fillmaker tarantino.

dialogue is terrible, setprops look like a forced period piece.

  • The "SET THING" was done like that on purpose.

  • Why would that be out of place in A FILM?

It's just supposed to be an intro to the movie. To have Tarantino kind of introduce the film is like saying he presented it.

And Tarantino didn't direct the film so it wasn't his... "Fault".

Why are the last 15 comments on this vid by you? If you don't like the film then state why and be done with it.

  • Im not racist either, i love chinese kung fu and action films. what the hell was quinton thinking making this. pardon the spelling, its a old microsuck keyboard :p.

  • Um....wtf?

    1. This film is not a Quentin Tarantino film. It's by Miike Takashi. It was just presented by Tarantino.

    2. These are Japanese people/actors. NOT Chinese.

No, you aren't racist. Just ignorant. Did it ever occur to you that there is a REASON the film was made the way it was? Have you even seen a Miike Takashi film before this one? My bet is you haven't, since you seem to think it was by Tarantino. And old keyboards don't justify poor grammar, even if you blame it for spelling.

  • you just berated me on spelling over a movie where none of the actors can speak correct english, how much of a fucking nitwit are you. Japanese or Chinese, I dont remember japanese in the old west, I believe if you go look at your history, the chinese were responsible for building california ignorant twit.

Japanese were racist and were closed off to everyone till after they lost the war, wich is one of the reasons a world war started.go re-read your history douchebrain. fucking idiot 18 yearolds

  • lol douchebrain...i like that!

  • @3ddigital3d

You're obviously impaired. You can't spell for shit, especially your QUENTIN TARANTINO's name. Everyone's grammar in this movie is so many many MANY times better than yours. I'd like to see you speaking a foreign language for a movie, you damned racist prick.

  • and also, i wasnt being stupid, i netflixed tarantinos name and noticed also thier isnt much of a mention of the director and they produce it like its a Tarantino film, Netflix doesnt list director/actor differences, just the films the person has done. Blame the publicity for that. No wonder it sucked, tarantino wasnt involved in the directing. Thank god, my respect and admiration for tarantino has returned completely.

Blame netflix and the trailer, not me nitwit.

    Go search Tarantino on netflix.

  • Takashi Miike.*

  • Also, this particular film is very different from Miike's other works. I mean, if you look at Ichi, Gozu, Imprint, Audition, The Bird People of China, etc, you'd probably have a hard time telling who the director of this film really is. Especially for people who aren't familiar with Miike's work.

    But anyway, great film.

  • @artumeterra

Is it strange that the best movie relating to Tarantino, is one he acted in, not one he directed?

  • @artumeterra dude, who are you commenting to?

  • if i hurt any tarantino fanboys feelins youve got the wrong idea, im a huge tarntino fan. watch kill bill 1 and 2 or planet terror instead and skip this.

Quinton stop doing cocaine and start making great films. This is Tarantinos plan 9 from outer space.

  • quinton straight up should have just done a martial arts western and used chinese subtitles, chinese people speaking who cannot speak english worth shit and sound like a 3rd grade babytalking. whats worse is quinton trying to sound like a chinese person and chinese babytakling in the beggining.

I wuf u wong dime. we wonder why shit movies come out with people patting people on the back who dont deserve it. No wonder miley cirus has 5 million fans.a waste of a watch, watch great T movies instead.

  • this is quinton tarantino's worst film, anyone who says its great needs a reality check. I am a huge Quinton tarantino fan and i will say this film makes From Dusk till dawn look like Hitchcock's the birds. Quinton cannot act, he needs to not act in his films. Its one of the few movies ive watched 25 min of and stopped.

    Whats bad about it?

    1. cinematography with jittery style camera.

    2. chinese speaking people who cant speak english worth shit.

    3. acting is terrible.

  • when the dvd will be unleased

  • DVD version has been out for a while, I think. We've had it at the redbox here for a while.

  • It's an awesome movie. 10/7

  • after this I don't think we'll ever see another Sukiyaki Western again THANK GOD

  • DJANGO ORIGINAL IS BETTER

  • does this movie suck??

  • hell no, its an odd movie but i love it

  • Nah its a really fun flick, completely tongue in cheek. However you may like it less if you pay loads to buy it. HMV are charging £18.99 mega lame

  • Comment removed

  • I bought this last week but I havent watched it yet. After watching this clip I cant wait to see it!!

  • the trailer is great, but the movie is crap!

does anyone know the name of the rock song?

  • Holy fuck, are you kiddin' me? This is probably the best trailer I've EVER fucking seen!

  • Sadly, though, the movie isn't NEARLY this good.

  • Pity.

  • what the heck just happened?

  • I absolutely love this movie. It gets better each time I watch it. The cinematography and lighting in this film alone is astounding...

  • I see this all the time in Best Buy. I may get it. Looks kinda entertaining.

  • this only comes in english?

  • The movie was made in English, but according to the 'making of' on the DVD, Miike had the actors do Japanese voice overs for their characters, so a Japanese version is more than likely available.

  • 2:42 he is NOT Yusuke Iseya! He name is Masanobu Ando!

  • Yes, he IS Yusuke Iseya.

Masanobu Ando is Yoichi, the man with the crossbow at 1:25

  • i was laughing at the part where he had to catch the sword in his hands.

  • 2:25 seconds in...ouch!

  • yusuke iseya should be goku in the live action movie!!! OMG, cuz he is waaaayy sexier than justin chatwin!! lolol

  • I bought this movie the day it came out and I loved it! Partly because Yusuke Iseya was in it, XD. It was so cool. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you like odder movies.... You should be okay, haha. I've never seen any of Takashi Miike's movies apart from this one and 'Box' from Three Extremes, but I'm going to try and see more.

  • hehe, go check out gozu

  • I totally just watched the trailer for that and was like wtf, haha.

  • the whole thing is like 10x more wtf!

  • is shun oguri in it at all ?? i heard he was in it

  • He is, he plays the guy called Akira. He's the guy with the brownish-orange hair, at least I think that's the colour.

  • oh okay thx hahahaha :D

  • Yup, It's Shun with his "Hana Yori Dango: Final" hair.

  • I started watching some of Miike's movies because my friend is a fanatic about him, but I didn't like any of 'em but they looked TOTALLY different than this. Now I'll give Miike a try because of Tarantino's (who I think is hands down best director ever) like of him and because this movie looks wicked sweet.

  • MUST SEE MOVIE. MUST SEE MOVIE...even if Rent-one'n Tear-a-ton-off is in it.

  • OMG! they are really speaking english. Insted of dubbing it.

  • Linnea is batshit crazy. Get back on your meds you lunatic.

  • I hate that...when you clap to late.

  • Well, it looks better than I was expecting from the beginning and people ranting about how OMG CONTROVERSIAL he is. Though I still doubt it will beat an ACTUAL Western.

  • What is the song that starts at 1:00, doe anyone know?!

  • i haven't heard about Takashi Miike before, does he have more films worth checking out?

  • If you want to be scarred for life, he has tons of movies.

  • scarred, in a good way? :) i checked him out on imdb and i saw that he has lots of movies, but are they good?

  • Your vision of the world will be warped, and you might grow a fetish or two.

Great movies once you get past his trademark... "Fucked-Up"-ness.

  • i fucken agree!

  • You'll need a solid constitution to sit through a lot of 'em.

  • If you want to see some of the craziest, most fucked up movies you might ever see, check out Ichi The Killer & Gozu. Forget what you knew about movies, these will totally torture, massacre, & cremate your perception of them! 8-)

  • I found Imprint to be more disturbing than either of those. And Tokyo Gore Police (while a piece of shit) was probably more fucked up than those, too.

  • He directed "The Gridge". He's amazing.

  • Takashi Shimizu directed The Grudge.

Miike would've made it a hell of a lot more visually intense if he had a hand in it.

  • hahahahha he's back..i dig him, he reminds me of Alejandro Jadrowsky(sp) in terms of over going the limits.

  • what's the song that starts at 2:30? its nice :) can't wait till i see this movie, looks like it rocks :)

  • That song is from the movie soundtrack.
