  • this piece brings me happiness.

  • k man sorry. might i ask who that is?

  • That was a demand, not a question nor statement

  • Bioshock Infinite, Release already :O

  • Best bit of the whole thing, killing splicers to the tune of the nutcracker.

  • as if I was calm enough this song just for some reason made me more calm, ahh so nice

  • The song was not made for a purpose, it was made to seduce the ears and delight the spirit, as quoted by Sander Cohen. For that is not a purpose, but is the will of the artist.

  • It's hard to believe this song was made for a game.

  • @CaesarDCW Best songs are made for videogames... Didn't you know that? Bioshock is a prove of that but not the only one. There are great videogame composers, for example: Jeremy Soule (The Elder Scrolls), Inon Zur (Dragon Age), Adam Skorupa (The Witcher), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy)... That ones are my personal favorites. I only like videogames with an outstanding soundtrack, because music is part of the game, part of the masterpiece.

  • @JMSLionheart Thanks for giving me a few good names. I'm definitely gonna look into it.

  • @CaesarDCW Good to know. If you're looking for piano themes, Nobuo Uematsu is very skilled. He has composed very nostalgic pieces, for example you can search this on youtube: "Nobuo Uematsu - Find Your Way (Piano Collection)". In fact, you can find a lot of piano collections of Final Fantasy Themes here on youtube interpretated by the users themselves.

  • @JMSLionheart Those crappy final fantasy soundtracks don't even come close to this.

  • @bud389 I don't think so, Nobuo Uematsu is a genius. He made excellent pieces for Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX and X. Bioshock doesn't have so many original themes, most of them aren't new at all. That's the reason why I have more respect for Nobuo.

But I must admit it, Cohen's Masterpiece for Bioshock is awesome and one of my favorites themes so far.

  • @JMSLionheart Bioshocks full SOUNDTRACK, is all originally composed. OTHER songs in the game, alot of those are licensed. Thats 24 original peices composed for Bioshock.

He is far from a "genius", he's simply well liked because he made some "pretty" sounding songs which tons of little kids played and they now refuse to acknowledge the fact that there are better artists. A modern genius of music for example, would be Howard Shore:

    /watch?v=prZ4RWWku7Y

  • @bud389 Fuck a Duck.

  • @bhenno2009 Do you even know who i was talking about? Or are you just being a fucking retard?

  • @bud389 the bloke who wrote the bioshock soundtrack

  • @bhenno2009 No... I was talking about " Nobuo Uematsu "

  • Is this song easy to play on piano? I'm clueless.

  • @CaesarDCW

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

  • DA DA DA DA DA DA DAAA DAAA allegro allegro....... "Cohen you sick fuck!.... Let me out of here!" "Do it over." "..........I'm trying...." BOOOOOMMM!!!!

*my face* O.O I must shake hands with this Cohen person.....

  • @duhstydncg hehe yeah that was damn awesome xD

  • There will be another masterpiece, with photos of the dislikers

  • Instead of just going orchestral movie soundtrack, Bioshock just took music from another era. Very good. Most developers fall back on orchestral movie soundtracks which don't fit at all. See: Quake 4 and Unreal Tournament 2004. Quake III and Unreal Tournament 1 have amazing music.

  • Great song. Great game.

  • of* my bad.

  • Whoever did this needs to be given huge credit. This is something Beethoven would be jealous us.

  • Comment removed

  • @Legion640 and Mozart and Bach :D

  • @Legion640 well, this is romantic music, listen to scriabin prelude no 14 and etude 12 and you get ths kind of feel

  • @alejandrothefader I don't think so, there are NO words to describe the feelings you get while listening to it. It isn't a romantic piece, it is simply a masterpiece.

  • @JMSLionheart you know what i mean with "romantic" man?? whatever, try to listen to the pieces i mentioned, you might understand what is romantic music

  • "Go ahead...touch it. Wh-What's that look? You don't like it do you? I don't need to be criticized by you! By anyone! Screw you! Screw all you fucking downers! Here's what I think of you!" Sander Cohen.

  • @MsValkyrie13 Doubters*

  • @wedgedacorn103 yea, i just now realized that. -_- i played the game again and heard him say doubters. i just speled it the way i heard it.

  • FUK THE DOUBTERS!!

  • I love the piano. Such a fantastic game, no doubt one of the best franchises ever made.

  • Uhh... is it weird that i like hes masterpiece? :3

  • 0:00

  • *correction 28

  • the twenty dislikes are by just some of the splicers i had to kill to get the d*** pictures for Cohen

  • Never seen madness beauty and steampunk in a way so perfect. This game is beyond a masterpiece.

  • @mickardon yuo absolute fucking legend :))))))

  • I wish this was on Itunes. I would pay good money for some of these songs. Especially this one. They are amazing pieces

  • @ScareVixen they were up there man

  • "ALLEGRO, ALLEGRO!!!!"

"COHEN YOU SICK FUCK, LET ME OUT OF HE-- *BOOM*"

  • DUMDUMDUM DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DUMMMMMMMMM

  • This is some dark music! I hate that I love it so much!

  • If i ever kill someone, i will play this as i cut them up.

  • @m6tzg6r

you can better strap the victem to a piano and have him play it .... or else

  • @m6tzg6r LOL well put. And I'm calling 911 :)

  • Bioshock is easily my all-time favorite game, and Sander Cohen is my favorite character and is a contender for greatest video game character of all time. There. I said it.

  • Thumbs up if you killed him twice ;)

  • I want to learn to play piano JUST for this song.... :)

which will be extremely challenging, but it's worth it

  • Dance, my little moth, dance! Smile, SMILE!

  • Why does it just cut off?

  • 28 People are doubters!

  • 28 people are splicers

  • 28 people are musical gremmlins

  • THE END IS MISSING :'(

  • @K4770 No, this is the full song, the song ends at that bit because **SPOILER FOR GAME PLOT** The guy playing the piano gets blown up in the game at this part, so this is all there is of the song.

  • @K4770 AAAAHHHHHHH!

  • Cohen's a LITTLE crazy I guess, but he gives you the crossbow so it's all cool.

    I killed him, of course.

  • people both games"Fallout and Bioshock" are great dont start saying one is better its your choice not everyone is going to agree

  • @pelletier1986 such a good comment !

  • once again, young fitzpatrick

  • Would you kindly, listen again 0:00 ?

  • fallout is better

  • @1mrfallout They're completely different games. That's like saying Battlefield is better than C&C and vice versa.

  • @Blacksight1 your right ;)

  • @1mrfallout Who the hell comes on a BIOSHOCK video then comments "FALLOUT IS BETTER!!!" ._. And not even comment at how beautiful this music is?

  • @x6Jaxter9x u mad bro

  • @1mrfallout Where did you get that impression sir?

  • @1mrfallout And you have no life. When you are not playing fallout you are on youtube trying to start a comment war. Get over your self jack ass!

  • bioshock as such lovely music, most of it conveys a sense that your in a different time period like the early 1900's or so, which gives the game itself a whole new and different look, cause at some parts in the game you figure its a game based in a future underwater city, but the music and artwork really tells ya other wise. Idk what people will think of this if its pointless or I made a good point or what. But oh well, decide for what you want. It is what It is

  • I love 2:28.

  • bioshock has one of the best plots/backgrounds of all games ever created, yet the concept was implemented so good.

are there any books about it ?

  • @canertwo Its actualy copyed from a book called Atlus shrugged which is about a world turned to ruin by the state so a group of interlectuals build a city (like rapture). Its Pro Objectivism were as Bioshock is anti Objectivism (rapture didnt work). Lots of the characters are taken from the book but Cohen isnt and nether is adam part so they do need some credit. Bioshock rapture is made post bioshock but as canertwo says it is good. Note, Atlus shrugged is 1100 pages so its a effort

  • once again young Fitzpatirick

  • I only know how to play the first 8 seconds of it but im getting their!

  • 1:14 reminds me of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2...

  • I love this piece. It reminds me of a variation on "Danse Macabre".

  • Oh Magnifico! Encore!

  • 28 people weren't paying attention when the piano blew up...

  • ha ha i love fort frolic i love it when you finish his master piece and then u let him do the combination then u attack him and this music appears :) young Patrick YOU HAVE DONE IT WRONG WRONG WRONG he is pysco but not like steinman :/ he is madddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd :)

  • Sander Cohen is literally the most amazing and mysterious character in rapture. He is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma full of secrets, full of lies.

  • @Bioshock1278 Apt description, Churchill.

  • This was the best part of the game!

  • PRESTO, PRESTO!

  • How could anyone dislike this?!

  • @jwelle97 i honestly dont know :'(

  • @jwelle97 They tried to play it and there pianoes blew up.

  • I listen to this late at night, while sipping a glass of coke laced with vodka, and work on devising my very own dramatic performance for my theatre class.

In so doing, I'm coming to understand why Cohen could be so obsessed about his artwork. Because, in the world of art ideas don't come to you; they suck you.

  • @ZukaZumamee That's some deep shit there brah.

  • @ZukaZumamee

    rum, man, gotta use rum

  • @ZukaZumamee cool story bro

  • Cohen has to be one of the most demented, psychotic people I have known in Bioshock, but some how you can't really despise him. Dr. Steinman on the other hand....

  • I was watching Cohen look at his pixtures then accidently pressed the shoot button on electroshock...

    R.I.P Sander Cohen

  • Cohen is the most amusing character in bioshock

Thumbs up if you DIDN'T kill him

  • @metalltitan If I remember good, I killed him. He breaked my nuts.

  • @metalltitan They all had to die! make me do their grunt work..

  • @metalltitan I only killed him on my Hard playthrough 'cause there was an achievement.

But the first time I was like...hey there's no reason to kill this guy.

  • @metalltitan

I didn't even know you could kill him until my sixth-ish play-trough.

    Just like hacking cameras

    I just found out....by accident.

    God i love this game

  • @metalltitan I WIAH I DIDN'T But He told me not to mess with the dancers but... but I had to play with that damn piano, and he got mad and so I had to kill 'em 3:

  • @metalltitan My favorite part of the game, after busting my ass getting his pictures and seeing him so happy I just didn't have the heart to kill him.

  • @Rockmaster2112 same here =3

  • @Rockmaster2112 HAH! I had no problem shooting him as soon as he appeared on the stairs. I couldn't wait to pump him full of lead.

  • @Rockmaster2112 :D i would have killed him in a second if not for the trophie did you get it later?

  • @deadmau5chick *Gasp* How could you...?! How could you kill the great and almighty Sander Cohen! ;_;~!

  • @leoar22569 lol he was playing the piano horribly for once and it drove me crazy :X

  • @deadmau5chick XDDD That was someone else playing horribly! ;_;~!

  • @leoar22569 u sure cause i got the trophy when i killed the person playing the piano and he wasn't at the original area afterwords

  • @deadmau5chick Um~... If you took his picture... Did you get the photo "Irony"?

  • @metalltitan For whatever reason, I initiated a fight with him in his apartment. I left, came back and went to his room. When I came back downstairs he was dead...Does that count as killing him?

  • @bearsaremyfav

I don't think so, but it seems that he comitted suicide :P

  • @metalltitan I actually did for an achievement. I felt true regret.

  • @lovefromeponine

to be honest - I usually play most of the games only because of the story (which takes much time but also is very cool), and so I didn't care about Cohen 'cause he wasn't agressive like the other splicers

  • @metalltitan same here let us hope this new Bioshock delivers even more complicated moral descicions.

  • @metalltitan sorry i killed him but he was kinda fun yeah xD

  • @metalltitan Killed him first time I played the game. Not the second time though, as I found out what happens if you dont!

  • @carlosfelipe5150 what happens if you don't kill him ?

  • @Marth123465 *Spoiler Alert*

If you dont kill him, when you get to I think Apollo Square, he re-appears and once you kill him there, he gives a key to his office and inside his office there is a power to the people station.

  • @carlosfelipe5150 DAMMIT! i killed him D: but thank you for the information

  • @metalltitan I killed him later on!

  • @metalltitan lol i just rushed him and shotgunned him to the face...

  • The Wild Bunny by Sander Cohen: I want to take the ears off, but I can't. I hop, and when I hop, I never get off the ground. It's my curse, my eternal curse! I want to take the ears off but I can't! It's my curse! It's my fucking curse! I want to take the ears off! Please! Take them off! Please!

  • i can imagine fighitng in slow motion using knives and cutting my foes down

  • @hidan407 thats a pretty cool vision;)

  • No...NO...NOO!!! ALLEGRO!!!

  • :/, I gave up on trying to play this song years ago X__X I should try again....

  • Try playing this on the F.A.O. Schwarz keyboard, I dare you.

  • How about:

    28 people are musically retarded.

  • @Year1022 28 are slaves not men - Andrew Ryan XD

  • Da da dada dadaaaaaaaa!

  • 28 people blew up.

  • 28 people are doubters

  • 28 dislikes?!?!?! Screw those FUCKING DOUBTERS

  • Like a hellish Mozart piece.

  • Cohen, you sick fuck!

  • god I love this

  • wow incredible makes me wanna pick up my sisters keyboard and how to use it :D

  • once again, young fitzpatrick, daa daa daa daa daaaa, allegro, allegro, no noooo ... presto PRESTO ...

Fitzpatrick: I'm sorry ... Let me out of here you sick fuck

  • All these doubters below me not enjoying this piece, shame...

  • From what I've played in the game to now closely listening to this song without the intrusions from annoying splicers, I am now deeply disturbed and awed.

  • I wanna learn the piano just to play this.

  • wow *-*

  • Luv it

  • @pinkmunkyofdoom Why does it suck?

But hurry up and answer, my muse is a fickle b*tch, with a short attention span!

  • @pinkmunkyofdoom Would you kindly.....go get stepped on by a big daddy?

  • @pinkmunkyofdoom Of course, YOU play piano MUCH better than this! In fact, why dont you prove it! Post a vdeo reply to this video of your fantastic piano playing, and we shall mock your STUPIDITY. I await your video with much avid excitment.

  • Bioshock Soundtrack, and Shadow of the Colossus Soundtrack. My two favorites. =)

Both are amazing, beautiful games too.

  • @thefuzzbuzzmuzzcuzz i very much agree. though Shadow of the colossus is slightly better on the soundtrack part. on the gameplay part they can't be compared. Bioshock is an action adventure FPS, while shadow of the colossus is art. still two incredible games.

  • Would you kindly... listen to this magnificent piece?

  • Every time I got the chance, I could never kill Sander Cohen, because he's just too fucking awesome.

    Definitely my favorite BioShock character.

  • @SpinalTree lol i had a hard time getting the achievement to not kill him cause every time i just had the urge to beat the living shit outta him lol

  • my favorite part of the game !

  • An artist has a duty to seduce the ear.......

  • i was beyond disturbed when i played this part

  • ALLEGRO! ALLEGRO!

  • This sounds like Tchaikovsky if he was spliced

  • @Darkmesna1 Yeah it does, but it sounds like a mixture between Liszt and Chopin

  • Sander Cohen, and Dr. Steinman are perhaps the two most intriguing characters I've ever seen.

  • Oh great, now I have to go all over rapture, find and kill 26 of Cohen's former fans and put their pictures on some macabre work of art

  • I LOVED Sander Cohen, he was so fascinating to me. I let em' live :)

  • Sort of reminds me of Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin

  • Fly,fly away!!!!!!!!! little moth!!!

  • from all the crazed characters found in rapture,

sander cohen is the wild bunny

  • God I hope they have someone like this in Infinite

  • @animefan132 26 people are doubters.

  • Somebody made this in a Music Sequencer from LBP2. It sounds a bit like this one, So i used it for a Zombie level. I dont know if it fits. To me it does.

  • i love the fort frolic level

  • @koblin81 best level in the game. ill never forget it

  • Masterpiece indeed.
