I love how they made the background melody have more emphasis on the moon, while making the normal lead melody sortof background at the start. It gives the track a strange feeling while being dreamy at the same time.

@heliotropei Originally from Mario Kart 64. That was the original song. Double Dash had a tremendous remix, and they should've left that theme in place forever. Nothing has ever come close to comparing to either of those two themes.

@heliotropei It's a beautiful song, an all time classic in Mario music. I love Double Dash's version too, I like how it's more upbeat in that remix. But I love the calmness of the original, especially on the super long track. You can just drive and listen to the music.
