I thought she was going to actually talk about the aspects of strategy vs tactics, but I bet she could even distinguish the definitions of those two words lets along apply them to a game of Risk. To someone who has played the board game 10s of times, played Risk on the computer 100s of times (Warcraft III, Starcraft and the Hasboro edition) and nearly 1000 times on my cell phone, I feel she should be ashamed and remove this video.

Risk is a bad choice for explaining political opinion. The map was developed by a French, set in Napoleon times, and created before the USA occupation of afganistan. It was the soviet union that broke apart, not the imperial Russian empire. And ur "American" military bases do not show military density and overlook many of American strategic points. Risk does not reflect American cold war thinking and nuclear war. Risk was invented by a Frenchman in the 1950's. It's a broad simulation of warfare in the 19th century. There is no nuclear warfare in Risk.

Russia did not 'crash' because of Afghanistan. In fact, if you do your research, Russia is actually thriving. Moscow, for example, has one of the most bustling (if not THE most) night lifes in the world. Sky scrapers and new clubs are built in -weeks- not months.

As far as Afghanistan goes. The current conflict is not a -war- on afghanistan. It is a conflict with the occupying radical jihadist terrorist cell, known as Taliban. The same conflict carries over into Iraq. The 'war' if you can call it, was already won. We are now simply occupying. You cannot 'win' an occupation. I do not support the war, but get your facts straight.
