  • if france which is founded on christian values does not allow the cross in the classroom, or a prayer in the school, why should they allow the nijab, or the headscarf?....the french polititian is correct...equal footing for everyone.,,,no cross?. then, no muslim scarf, and no minorah....you cannot pander to one group and not to others.

  • Have u seen the trend all these banning coming after the Sep.11 banning slaughtering. banning Niqab promoting homosexual etc.,

  • The important thing It is obligation for women to cover everything except face and the hands.

  • Tariq Ramadan - RESPECT!!!

  • There's irony on both sides; to protect freedom the French state has taken away a degree of freedom, while the Muslim women invoke freedom to do something which they are demanded to do

  • the old man from paris is cucu.... Where is the freedom of religion? Wearing hijab is part of the religion. Islamic GOD demands women to wear hijab so does Christian (old testament) The duties for the GOD is more important that the short life in this world. Freedom of religion should be given priority here.

  • good debate, kinda disappointed that the ahlu sunnah scholar didn't find his groove..however Ramadan make good points....i think it's a personal choice matter...in the usa the Amish people exclude themselves from society yet i dont see none of them being persecuted for it...i think its a politics that's gonna backfire on the west...the more they fight islam n put it on the spotlight the more new converts come onboard.
