True...The Aston Martin One-77 should be amazing, I haven't seen any road tests of it yet, but according to what I've looked at...it isn't just an Aston with a bigger V12. It's a fully focused driving machine, with a completely unique new chassis. It's basically Aston's answer to all the best hyper-cars out there. And before you go into value for money. It costs as much as it does, because everything about this car has been newly developed...and only the engine has been borrowed...

Aston Martin Racing won the GT1 class, the top GT class, in 2007 and 2008. The Lola B08/60 that had a 6.0 liter Aston Martin V-12 finished in the top ten overall in 2008. It was in the LMP1 class.

Audi won Le Mans over all. AM won their respective class (GT1).

The AM DBR9 is a very well developed race car though. Prodrive have a wealth of experience to draw from. Looks fantastic too.

Aston Martin Racing won the GT1 class in 2007 with Michelin tires. Prodrive won the GTS class (now GT1) in the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans with Michelin tires and the Ferrari 550. Oreca won the GTS class with the Viper GTS-R with Michelin tires.

They are the "Leader Lights" and are used in the four classes of the American Le Mans Series and the Le Mans Series (in europe) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A car is leading its class if one light is shown, then in 2nd place if two lights, and then third place. The ALMS has had the lights since 2002.

The # 63 Corvette C6.R's right front brake pads had to be replaced in the 17th hour of the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans. The C6.R has AP Racing brakes.
