You have got to admire people who can play Bach like that. You look at the scores and it looks so easy, but once you get down to it, it's really hard. You have to be smart to be able to play bach and a freakin genious to play him well.

I think this piece sounds so much better with harpsichord. I also heard a version with violin as the main voice - and loved it too.

I played this concerto 3 years ago, and it seems to me like it was yesterday.. That's the power of classical music.. it is eternally present in your mind...and unlike most of the pop songs, the more often you hear it, the more you love it

I dislike that baroque trend with big orchestra all playing legato.  Nobody plays like that anymore.

This piece is absolutely perfect. No note is out of place. The performance is very pleasant. I want this played at my funeral when the time comes.

I find 2:08-12 would be perfect the sound of it for a funeral very emotional and atmospheric, if a song could be built on that extract it would be perfect, because i feel some parts are too cheery for a funeral, but i can relate to your idea completely.

i played this with an orchestra, and the thing is, it was SO much easier compared to the other concertos that were played, not that it was less enjoyable, just that compared to some others like mozart or the a minor from grieg

but it was still fun and exciting

the thing with bach concertos are that the performances are quite easy. You do not have to worry about Rubato or anything that might throw the orchestra off, because of the baroque style. However, the technicality remains difficult and requires precision and clarity.
