What people need to realize is that Linda is singing the right right harmony notes, which is hard in itself...her pitch is just shaky and not exact...but the notes are there, somewhat.
Learning to sing, and learning to sing through a PA in a 100,000 seat stadium are two different skills. Linda was enormously bright and capable and ready to take on all challenges. And she is very missed.
The thing of it is...when she did sing on-key, the harmonies she did with Denny Laine on things like "Bluebird" were actually really good. Maybe they had shitty monitors at this gig, but anyway you slice it, she's not very good here, and I bet if she would alive to critique this, she'd agree.
That being said, singing harmony takes a lot of practice. You don't walk out of stage without putting in the time and sound like The Eagles, you know? And she got better as time went on.
With Linda's voice here, this reminds me of one of those Ozark-family-type shows that do knee-slappers and stomp their feet. She's way off pitch here, but generally, I like her vocal contributions to Paul's records.

@LTF6161 I admit, most of her music isn't kind to the ear, but avant-garde music has consistently pushed the boundaries of the mainstream. Paul McCartney himself was deeply inspired by the avant-garde (most evident on Revolver).

linda was a TERRIBLE singer, tone deaf and brilliant at hitting all the wrong notes at the wrong time. BUT she was 50 times better than that thing that lennon was with. yoko ono. you know, the one that that screeched like a fucking witch being burned at the stake. despite linda's lack of musical ability, she was an absolute star compared to yoko OH NO.

I actually think it's cute how off Linda is. Honestly, I do. Sue me. Because it makes me love Paul even more. Let's be honest, we're here for Paul, aren't we? His talent is insurmountable and his and Linda's love story is worth the music he made with her. In my eyes, with his power, Paul has given her the golden veto in the music world. @soaringvulture said it in a nutshell.

Linda looks good and sounds good in this clip. Linda's vocals are well-placed in many Wings songs and add to the character of the songs, like "Silly Love Songs", a #1 hit.
Somebody said Linda is "flat as shit" at 1:16. She looks pretty well-endowed to me. All natural, too.
As to Linda playing the keyboard; the experts can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she had some lessons while she was in school. I'm sure she had to work on it to be proficient enough to get up on stage and play.

Linda was inserted in the Band by Paul (even she wasn´t agree) and John had been convinced by Yoko that would want to sing with The Beatles. This was the difference!

Linda was nice and she loved and cared for Paul instead of stealing his money and stuff.she never played music beforeyet for Paul she learned to play keyboard nad tried her best to learn how to do stuff-her only album "wide prairie" is beautiful- she did eventually learn how to sing better and paul finished the album for her after she died becuase he loved her so much- they had true love and were happy. Linda gave Paul love and 3 great kids of his own- and she inspired many Wings songs. RIP L.

Love this song but don't get me wrong, No offense but I don't like linda's voice. She couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Her voice is distorted to me in this song. It should've been Paul only! I bought this song from itunes library for my ipod touch and just wishes Linda wasn't singing along everytime I hear it. Love Paul, RIP Linda.
