  • More people need to believe in Santa. The Joy he represents spreads all around us. :')

  • I love this song! I was wondering who the singer was of this song and now I know from people on Youtube!! Ron Marshall had a beautiful singing voice....sadly I can't find much info on him through the internet....It is amazing that this one song can bring a tear to my eye EVERYTIME I listen to it! Just a beautiful song...Thank You Mr. Marshall.....

  • Favorite Santa Song so good!

  • I never believed in Santa Claus as a physical Person comming down the Chimney, Still don't, But I do believe in Santa Claus as a symbol, the symbol of the spirit of Christmas. Giving, Carring, Jollieness, Selflesness, Love, all part of the spirit of Christmas. Right behined the birth of Christ. Merry Christmas evryone!

  • Your Not To Old to Believe, Image Santas Age, If Your Older than Santa your to old but nobody is Older than Santa Claus. So we Should all Believe.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Ron Marshall was my father, and I am as moved by hearing him sing this song as everyone else. He's been gone over ten years now and I so look forward to seeing this show each season. I own the video but I have taken a vow only to watch it at Christmas time. He is also , by the way, the character voice of the mayor of the town, both speaking and the singing of "Snow in Southtown"

    Thanks again!

  • @1diagram I just love this song and think your father has such a beautiful singing voice. I've looked all over the net to see what else he's done and unfortunately there isn't a lot out there about your father. I've posted this song on my face book page and listen to it every day and ultimately the song goes through my head throughout the day.

  • I have watched this special every year since I was born (that's 17 years now) and it doesn't feel like Christmas til I see this. It makes it so much better because last year I went to one of the local elementary schools and a kid said he didn't believe and i showed him this video and as he started crying he told me "if you're not to old to believe, neither am I. I can't wait until I meet him one day." It brought a tear to my eye when the little guy hugged me and said "I believe."

  • What an incredibly profound tune.

  • i believe in santa even if i'm too old to believe

  • Just believe

  • ive watched this special every year since i can remember and im going to watch it for the rest of my life. my kids will watch with me even if i have to duck tape them to a couch :p (crying a little)

  • I believe in Santa Christ! Wait...

  • Still my favorite Christmas show.....and yes even at my age....I believe in Santa Claus.....

  • God, did I just get teary eyed? I love this movie, and it isn't Christmas for me if I don't see this movie. It will never get old.

  • Where did you get the song

  • Tim Allen is Santa Claus.... but no for real those movies make me belive Santa xD

  • @Barrakaflaka14 one thing I love about the Tim Allen version is the line that his son tells his little sister. Most kids stop believing in Santa when they grow up, but I get to believe for ever

  • I'm 17 years old and I still believe in Santa! ^.^ He'll never fade away, and I hope my future children won't stop believing in Santa Clause either! :)

  • I love santa

  • I have to watch this movie every year, or else it's not Christmas for me. This is my favorite part. <3

  • 4 people got coal for christmas

  • im nearly 22 and i still to this day look up to the sky on christmas eve hoping ill get a glimpse of santa <3

  • @madisonthehedgehog He is real and I know it, me,my Family and my friends believe in him. Don't give up hope. I seen proof of him (I actually got his Hair piece in a Glass of Milk.) I just wonder how many families in the World do believe in Santa....

  • Thumbs up to everyone who posted positive things about this classic Christmas show. These bring back such good memories for so many of us who grew up watching all these shows every year.

  • i love this song

  • This song gives me chills cause it takes me back to the 70's when I was a kid when I believed in Santa Clause. Somewhere in my heart I still do.

  • iLovee this song ♥

  • ok who ever disliked this needs to get a life... no a heart

  • So wonderful :)

  • Can this song be purchased anywhere?

  • This song makes me cry my eyes out every time I hear it.

  • Micky Rooney is the BEST Santa Claus!! His voice is so sweet.

  • this is.. so... strange!

  • @Deppowns2426 Hear Hear! Fellow freshman believer! High five man! I <3 Santa!

  • Two people don't believe in Santa Clause!

  • I love you Santa!

  • One of the more beautiful songs from the Rankin-Bass Christmas menagerie. Cheers! :D

  • Did Ron Marshall also play Mr. Thistlewhite?

  • @JGCooney Yes he did

  • I'm nearly fifty, and I'm not ashamed to say I believe in Santa Claus. The world would be a sad and miserable place without him. God bless him and all the joy he brings.

  • @judemblackbbc I think that the man who went to the cross would take issue with that comment.

  • This world could use more people believing in Santa Claus and the love he represents

  • I believe in Santa Clause, though I'm in my 20s. To me, this song says that Santa is not a person, but he is the peak of childhood innocence and happiness, everything that makes childhood so magical. Santa is also the spread of joy and love around the world in the mist of the otherwise difficult winter season. Putting it like that, Santa truly dose exist. Just listen to the lyrics.

“I believe in Santa Clause like I believe in love”

“What is happiness but dreams, and do they all come true?”

  • Great song

  • Favorite song from the toon. Always gets the tears going.

  • I am a college student and I still believe in Santa,, I live by this part of the song ",, For what is happiness but dreams until they all come true.. look at me and tell me Son.. what is real to you?" I know happiness is dreams until they all come true.. but How about you?

  • the one dislike is scrooge

  • @manningfan6161 and now theres two so i guess marley discovered this video. lol

  • Call me a wus but i cried.

  • hehehehehehe i believe..ish

  • Cool these are the songs I used to listen to with my 2 girls when they were little! Thanks for posting them and God bless you

  • I cry whenever I hear this song. ;)

  • This song makes me cry!

  • anytime time some says something about santa i say then what is real to you ? works everytime i will always believe in santa and i am in college this world is a harsh and cold place we all need a little magic

  • i believe in Santa Clause even tho im like 14 lol i love this movie i watch it eevry single year<3-Emmi

  • You guys believe in some 200 year old guy sneaking into your house leaving you presents? Ok.......whatever floats your boats.

  • @OpiumpLayground4life we obviously don't really believe that. it's just about being in the xmas spirit. jeez.

  • @mikepep33, i seriously doubt that.

  • Comment removed

  • @OpiumpLayground4life There's something you don't understand, Santa Claus represents the love, joy, and all the positives of the world. Believing in Santa Claus means believing all of that. I'm not trying to make you look bad, I'm just trying to tell you and everyone something interesting.

  • @OpiumpLayground4life What is real to you, then?

  • Ron Marshall thank you for one of the best vocals ever! Love it! As a kid I loved the Miser songs, but now this is the highlight and brings me to tears

  • I love and enjoy this song. Tears me up every time I listen to it.

  • I don't believe in Santa as an actual person but more of a benevolent spirit of the season that brings joy and presents (not always in the form of wrapped gifts) to those that believe and deserve.

  • wtes my eyes every single time!

  • I just enjoy this song and these wonderful christmas movies,

just listening to this song makes me cry because it bring so much great memory when i watch this as a child

  • even now as a grown up, i always loved the classical christmas movies like these. they're so beautiful

  • The magic of childhood is so short compared to the harsh reality of the world we face as adults...I do everything I can to make sure my girls believe that way I did...Shame on all of you who are condemning the innocence and magic of such a wondrous season...!

  • we were at a Christmas parade in my town this year with most of the extended family. my cousins boyfriend, within earshot of my little nieces and nephews mind said "too bad hes not real"we all stare at him dumbstruck until i said "looks like someones just made the naughty list for lying"

  • I will always believe!

  • One of my favorite childhood songs. I learned to play guitar because of it.

  • I watched a show on the History Channel on "The History of Christmas" I hated it so much I had to go and listen to this song over and over =] It was a nice show to watch, but I like the magic and everything.

  • I will never stop believing, the idea of Santa Claus is just too good of a thing to stop.

  • I believe!!!!!!

  • @moonshade1992 I love your name, I'm sure you know that Moonshade is the name of one of the Wolfriders in Elfquest by Wendy Pini and her Husband

  • @Shaddow1966 Of course! She and Nightfall are two of my favorite elf characters. I can't wait for them to go on and make the movie; I'm running out of comics. lol

  • @moonshade1992 The entire run of all the Elfquest books can be found online at the Pinis website elfquest.com Cutter and Skywise were two of my faves, Cutter always reminded me of an Elfish version of Khan from Star Trek LOL. And of course Leetah was a cute Elf as well.

  • I will always believe in Santa Claus. Even when I'm 104 because I love what he stands for. I'll be 19 in January.

  • Why dont they make movies like this anymore?? What happened to movies that had a story line that MEANT SOMETHING?!?! Even as simple as having an imagination and seeing with your heart and not your eyes, "Believing is seeing, but seeing isn't believing - (The Santa Claus, 2, and 3)" Now everyone wants a damn explanation for everything. Its sad the lack of imagination this world has anymore.

  • I love this song:)

  • Someone said that Peter and Brian should sing this on Family Guy. That would be awesome.

  • @clarkycuse09 Family guy with gain so much more respect from me if they do it!

  • @clarkycuse09

    agree

  • I believe in santa clause! He was a real person at one time but even more so, he lives in your heart, my grandma used to tell me he lives in your heart and he is the spirit of Christmas. I'll always remember that, she and I used to watch this movie every year. I love it and sometimes I cry a little bc of the memory.

  • my favorie christmas movie in the world <3

  • @punked0ut Me too, me too!!!

  • This song makes me cry because im growing up, but that dosnt mean I have to let him go

  • does anyone have this song for download? i've been trying to find it. i love this movie and this song!

  • @zombiebarbecue use video2mp3net then convert it and u can get this nice song

  • @zombiebarbecue dont forget to put a dot before net

  • does anyone have this song for download? i've been trying to find it.

  • I love this song

  • @courtneyfan101 awesome I am glad u do

  • It feels like just yesterday I was a little girl who believed so strongly... ;_;

I cried so hard when I heard this...

  • I believe in the spirit of Santa, and that spirit is kindness and charity. Santa is in all of us.

  • @johnhamilton08 Well said my friend, well said

  • This is my favourite Christmas movie and song :)

  • Hey GreenEyezz23, do you believe in Santa Clause?

  • @emsytraut Of course ;)

  • @GreenEyezz23 that answer should have been in the words of Mickey Rooney, Me?? Why of course I do.

And to the question so do I. Always have and always will.

  • @emsytraut, I Too Believe In Santa Claus Too, and I Hope Someday When My Two Nieces are Older, I'll Get Them To Believe In Santa Claus Too.

  • I'm 14 years old and I even have a t-shirt with santa on it that says, I Believe. Daddy doesn't approve, and that always makes me wish my mom was still alive, she always encouraged magic, so I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE!!

  • This song totally makes me cry.

  • When I die. I want one of you dear youtube watchers to play this at my funeral.

  • @shademaster24601 you sure you don't want "heat miser" instead?

  • @voiceofelijah2012

Positive. When I go out. I want the world to know that to the very end I believed with all my heart in the purest form of child-like wonder, peace, love and happiness. Despite the blanket of darkness that I kept around my heart, they should all remember that at the very core, the spark of light was there.

  • @shademaster24601 How can we play it if we don't know you?

  • I really like this song. Santa Clause is real even just in idea. He represents innocense and kindness and thats really something you don't see much anymore. Nobody should be to old to beleive in Santa Clause.

  • @Saya72692 Amen

  • @Saya72692 Amen

Just Like Love I Know He's There Waiting To Be Miss.

  • Such a lovely song. I'm so glad they still air this and others a Christmas time.

  • @LizaKimoto You can find the movie on Youtube

  • I really don't know how Rudolph and Frosty are more popular than the year without a santa claus. None of them have a song as beautiful as this song.

Santa may be a "marketing business" or whatever, but what he does is real. And that's enough to make me believe.

  • @labratAK11 i agree 100% im 16 and will always believe

  • @labratAK11 HE IS REAL

  • the little boy name was ignacious

  • i love this song

  • Wipe that question from your mind, yes he does exist. Just like love, I know he's there, waiting to be missed.

  • High School Senior going to college very soon & I still believe in Santa Claus. He's existed for many generations & is as real as the sun & the moon.

  • this song is sooo true <333

  • For what is happiness but dreams, and do they all come true? Look at me and tell me son, what is real to you?

How many children's movies have words that are so simple, yet so profound? So beautiful.

  • This song is so magical.

  • your never to old for santa claus

  • This song is so amazing...

  • Ron was my Dad, who passed in 2000... found this on Father's day.

Thanks SO much for posting this.

  • This song is beautiful. Even though it is a christmas song, I put it on my iPod. This song transcends seasonal issues ;]

  • The Rudolph special is more popular than this one. But listen to this song and tell me if there are any moments in Rudolph that are as emotionally profound and moving as this. The sad, poignant quality of the song underscores what this song is about, namely loss of innocence. I love the line about "all the things that make a life worthwhile," which elevates the song into a kind of philosophical plane that the Rudolph special doesn't come within a million miles of.

  • I thought it was only me---you nailed it---thank you!

  • i love this song i have always believed in santa even i help him every year by being a santa myself then he doesn't have to travel to to many places i can help him and i am alot like him myself. i love giving i love everything and i want peace happiness and all that one day maybe i will meet him and thank him for everything.

  • sorry peeps someone is hacking me but i still believe

  • i love that song nad that movie i grew up watching it every year and i still do

  • I'll probably always believe. :/

I had a boyfriend once that told me he didn't believe, and that if we had kids he wouldn't allow them to believe.

    We're broken up now.

And my current love, believes all the way [:

  • Santa came into my room one night when I was a kid too. Now I believe in Santa Claus. I also cry every Thursday night.

  • I'm a 13 year old girl and "I believe in santa clause and everything he does I believe in santa clause like I believe in love. There's no question in my mind that he does exsist just like love I know he's there waiting to be missed" I BELIEVE ALL THE WAY :-)

  • i still believe in santa claus and i'm in high school haha

  • @RicoGamer55 READ THE COMMENTS AND LEAVE YOU NON-BELIEVER!!!

  • This was a good movie and will always be one! BACK when people werent so nuts and didn't have so much hatred smh! :D I'm watching it now!

  • ^-^ This song just tells people, "Believe in what YOU believe, not what others tell MAKE you believe. ^-^ Tears come to my eyes when I hear "He's not real!" or at school, kids are calling me a little child because I believe in 'somthing my mom and dad are doing' Well, heres what I believe~

Santa can't come to EVERY house in the world, so he must ask the moms and dads of the kids who are bad to give them what they need. Thats, why they think he's not real!

  • Also, people say, "No human on earth can live in the north pole." Well, who said his a human? I believe he's the Spirit of Joy and Winter! ^-^ I'm in middle school, and I still believe in Santa Claus!

    ---------------------------

    Just like love I know he's there~

    Waiting to be missed~

  • @EeveeSpirit i belive too and what you said was good.and touching.

  • @frgyouj Amen

  • I love this song!!! I Believe in Santa Claus!!!! I'm 26 and I still believe in Santa Claus

  • If this country can believe and put " in god we trust " on a dollar bill then why can't we believe in Santa Claus . I BELIEVE I BELIEVE I BELIEVE

  • I was at my panto rehersals last night, and i asked all the kids what Santa was getting them. They all told me i was silly, cos Santa isnt real. I felt like crying, but remembering this film, i used almost these exact lyrics (not singing, im not that sad) thinking that it may change their minds. They told me i was a liar.... all hope is lost for ole st nick. I believe in you Santa, even if they dont. xxx

  • It's ok. Some people just don't know the true meaning of Christmas, Believing. If I was there, I would be like, "Now, why do you think this nice person asked what some one was giving you for X-mas if he didn't esised? Hu?" I believe! *hugs*

  • good job. I mean it's better than most of the crap people believe in. There was never a time when the santa believers burnt people at the stake or took their land in the name of santa. You don't have to give up your sundays for santa just try to be good. In the list of beliefs santa is pretty top of the line.

  • This song lets you know its ok to believe in anything, especially Santa Claus.

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song!!!!! It's the best-makes me cry every time!!!

  • i truely do believe in santa claus

  • I love this movies at Christmas time...or better yet, all year around. This song gives me chills. =] thank you so much for posting. This is a true classic.

  • I like how this song makes people cry because I cry when I hear it too! I'm not alone

  • I believe and so should everyone else

  • Superlative! I cry every time I hear this song! T_T

  • LOL I'm a dude in his 30's and this song still brings tears to my eyes.

  • I swear, the world has changed since this song came out. There has never been anything that has captured the innocence of a child and warmth of the Christmas season as this song has. I hope that days like these return. We need more Santa Clas in our lives

  • I still believe This song is exactly how I feel about Santa Claus.

  • thanks for putting this up, absolutely my favorite song ever written for Xmas that isn't of the traditional group.

  • Simply my favorite.

  • I believe!♥

  • i love the part that says, if your too old for santa claus, then your too old for all the things that make a life worth wild.

  • OMG, that's exactly the line that gets me, "so you're too old for Santa Claus, he said with a smile, then you're too old for all the things that make a life worth while, for what is happiness but dreams, and do they all come true, look at me, and tell me son, what is real to you?"

  • Nice song. Has anyone ever covered it? (I mean this song. There are other songs with the same title but they are different songs with a different melodies.)

  • I love this song, i cry when i hear it. my heart cries because i know the truth :/ ;_;

  • @SoraxRikulover A very sad song indeed.

  • I still believe. :3

  • Ron Marshall has an amazing voice. A touch of sadness, a touch of wonder. Beautiful!

  • ron marshall and mickey rooney created a gift of christmas joy for all of us to treasure forever. this is what the holiday season is truly all about. yes, there is a santa claus. just as long as there are dreams and love in the world, santa will still exist. amen!

  • omg lol what you said game me chills! Agree with you 100%

  • I love what Santa does. He gives toys to all the kids in the world. He was never asked or made to do this he just chose to have
