In fact, Attre used this tune Thrice.. First of all it was exactly the same tune in Film Daku ki LaRki when Naseem Begum sang it as "TaRpaa kay Janay walay" :) then in 2 versions of Wagdi nadi da pani" of "Ishq na puchhay zaat" and third time here in "Bahisht" as "hay raat raat bhar ki". Another song of Bahisht (Mehdi Hassan's Kiyon poochtay ho kya tum se kahon)is also exactly same repeat tune from Attre's old movie "Azaad" where Salim Raza sang "tum poochhtay ho kya tum se kahon"

doc thanks for the info -attre was a true great -he disguised it so skillfully you can hardly tell with the lyrics and the mood of the songs -entirely new concepts

sorry for disagree here dear.. repeating the tune is never counted as skill among critics.. about this tune i know onething personally that it was very dear to him so he repeated. Skill ye tab hota jaisay S.D.Burman ne kiya tha.. Remember Film Guide? same movie one song "kya se kya ho gaya" (sad song) and other "mose chhal kiay jayay" (happy chorus) Both on same tune yaar and both songs follow one after the other in movie within 5min. Viewer ko pata hi nahi chala kay same tune thi, Skill :)

i have not heard the other songs here -so you know better -guide i now i have seen it many times -the visuals are so stunning in the waheeda and chetan anand musical -you are watching the great waheeda dance with the enchanting choreography -it is so hard to note the tunes -chetan anand is a great director .thanks
