  • Everyone on the internet loves you peter schiff, we can see through the mainstream lies as easily as you can!

  • Dont run. You will be destroyed as "they" have the combined resources of the entire government machine at their disposal. The is NO American public anymore. There is only a mish-mosh amalgamation of groups witrh extemely divergent ideals at the country's centers of power.

  • Niels reminds me of the gay guy from american psycho.lol.

  • ha another Canadian here, been watching you for about a year and a half now, your the only guy on american tv who actually tells the truth.i saw that appearence on cnbc your talking about and i wouldn't worry about it , the host denis niels or whatever his name is, is a total embarassment to humankind.he accused you of trying to sell your book with gloom and doom and then says that hes not selling anything!as if cnbc is not just a platform for corporate propaganda.

  • I think I'll take the money I could donate to your campaign and buy gold bullion for myself that way I wont risk having my hopes let down once again by someone in government. Sorry but I just don't trust anyone anymore Peter but I do love your message.

  • being bearish has saved me a lot of money lately

  • I'm a canadian citizen, but who cares about Canada? The US is the heart of the world, and if the beast doesn't awaken, we're in for a hell of a ride, i will support you Peter Schiff, as you have greatly helped me with your advice and logic. The king of logic i never heard before until i stumbled on someone who FINALLY made sense on TV. You HAVE to win!

  • If you're an international citizen, please sign up on the main page for election updates. (You don't need to be a US citizen to do this.) You can also indicate to Peter you're willing to volunteer also.

I agree; I'm seeing a lot of support for Peter outside the US. I think this is a healthy thing. If nothing else international support could be a unique advantage for Peter.

If he decides to run, we should organize an international volunteer network for the campaign.

  • I thought it was hilarious that the host wrote you off as a doom sayer, and that doom sayers are simply chopped full of male testosterone and try to out due each other with whose predictions can be the most horrific.... when is the mainstream media gonna get it ...sigh

  • Peter Schiff soon to be regular on cspan

  • Don't worry about it Peter. The guy hosting that show is a douchebag.

  • I would like to see him in office. But I hope he removes his statements against the minimun wage laws. And hope nobody screen shotted them. His ideas on this will come back to haunt him. Opponents will beat him over the head with his owns words. It is largely a theoretical debate, and a pointless distraction. Telling hard working Americans they don't deserved the chump change they make now, is a losing arguement.

  • No way , i will not support you , it would water you down. Peter you can run after this system FAILS

  • Forgive my bluntness Peter, but here's the MAIN reason why you have no chance at winning; you represent LOGIC & REASON. Look around you. Look what happened to Dr. Paul. Realize that a nation that voted a MORON into office TWICE is itself moronic. They'll call you "Dr Doom" and try to smear your rep thru every available means. Americans don't want fiscal responsibility, accountability, efficiency nor ethics ..they want to masturbate constantly over a fraudulent pile of securitized docs!

  • Sorry Peter I love you to death and think you're a GREAT economic forecaster but I wouldn't pay a CENT to put you in the Senate. Simple reason; the Senate would corrupt you immediately. Even tho I think you're extremely honest, once placed within that den of iniquity it would overwhelm & tranform you. Americans have become fat, lazy, stupid & corrupt little assholes. Let them & their stupid nation fail. Stick to investment advice so we can all make a fortune AND EMIGRATE FROM THIS SHITHOLE!

  • Would you rather take the chance of Peter Schiff "maybe" getting corrupted or send 100% corrupt Chris Dodd in the senate..

  • That's a self-fulfilling prophecy my friend. Though of us who get it need to band together right now. Even if we don't succeed right away, we need to start building our power base so someday we'll have the structure, connections, and influence to bring about real economic change. Please reconsider, think about sending just $10 his way, and think about getting directly involved yourself if you're able. I worked for the Paul campaign, and though he didn't win, we made a difference.

  • senate can't corrupt schiff, schiff would shine light on those scum bags

  • No matter how much sunlight you shed on a turd, a turd it shall always be. Senate is a turd and you can't put an honest man like Peter Schiff into a putrid stinking craphole like that without harming him..

  • Someone in the states should set up a company that offers a service of sort then have a contract that says 95% of the revenue or whatever must go to a legally donate-able cause. The 95% can go to Schiff's campaign from foreign wanna-be contributors like me and the 5% can go to the person just for taking the effort of putting up a website.

Not sure on the law on this one but other Politicians take iffy funds constantly so there has to be some loopholes somewhere.

    Go Peter!

    Derek in Canada.

  • We should study what the Clintons and Gore did; they're experts at receiving funds from outside the US.

  • Already contributed. I hope he wins. That Dennis dude on CNBC is an ass.

  • From the comments, it looks like you have a lot of international followers who are unable to support you.

  • Great news about the initial polling! Go for it and the best of luck. I'm British so, quite rightly, I'm not allowed to contribute but the best of luck to you and I hope you get the support you deserve.

  • The people on CNBC are retarded and choose to be blind. People only accept what they want to hear, not the truth.

  • I trust this man and his people with my money. When everyone lost 40% of their investments with the mortgage crisis, my accounts MADE 9%. Good luck finding a better account management firm than Euro Pacific Capital.

  • Schiff is gonna run for senate if he can raise enough money to win the primary, go to his website and support him! google schiffforsenate.

  • Start up the donations!

  • can add it to kudlows bedtime stories

    ha ha aha

  • also watch the march of the wooden soldiers.1933

the funny part is when his box was full of ious - so he couldnt help the lady in the shoe

the joke is in 1933 they gave out ious as pay and put it in the movie

  • peter peter peter these are the same people who caused the problom! of coarse attack you. thats why i say your so brave! because like socrates they attack the messenger instead of embraceing reality! why so when theres rioting in the streets kudlow can say ,i guess goldielox was a bedtime story, now i dress like a women just to leave and get into the studio TLDMDOTORG im very postive and so are you peter! but this is the world of idoligy. so goes gm so goes the nation.
  • peter is right. i watched it.

  • Donated to Peter yesterday. Love this guy and what he has to say!

  • He better run

  • why why why?

  • @ulyssinvest. u think? peter isn't a certainity for the senate and the cost of running a campaign will drain his coffers as well as that of those who support him. a tax cut on assets is hardly a reason to run for office.

  • @hume12345.

To say the truth - no, not sure, but I just don't feel the same sincerity and passion in Peter's voice when he talks about "running for the Senate" as when he talks about his views about the economy. When he talks about the economy, he's "somewhere out there" like if he was preaching the "right path". When he talks about "running for Senate", it feels as if he running after easy profit - just like the other guys in Wall Street. Love Peter - just don't feel the "senate thing" though.

  • maybe you don't hear the same sincerity in his voice because he knows the electorate can't make sacrifices. he also knows he'll be deeply unpopular should he become a senator and implement the solutions he talks about in his videos.

  • True. Can't tell. Half of his net worth is in his company and the other half is invested (gold, metals, commodities, etc) and Peter has been SPOT ON for 10 years or so (he started buying GOLD when it was like 300$, he probably shorted mortgages and other stuff he knew would be coming down - C, AIG, Bear, GM, GE, etc) so I would be surprised if Peter didn't have say 10+ millions USD to date... He's not as foolish as his father and won't try to avoid taxes... I say he's much smarter than that...

  • but peter...in every interview that I have seen you give, you never mention the black hole of 600 trillion dollars in derivative debt. you need to teach the idiots on tv. not just talk about the us dollar. its everyones dollar. including the chinese. there just isn't enough cash to cover these debts. its global and systemic.

  • It may be global and systemic, but the FIRST ones OUT will gain the lost purchasing power of everyone who tries to get out LATER. That's why I am getting out NOW.

  • ive never had much faith in the election process, take for example Ron Paul - does anyone really believe he only got 1% of the vote? That doesnt add up to me.

  • donated $50

  • LOL multimillionaire Jew asking people for money.

  • and how big government's involvement in "outlawing" discrimination actually causes all of the lines to be so much more clearly drawn. Pretty funny that - if you actually call yourself a libertarian - you are the exact product of government involvement in such things.

True libertarianism sees as a man as a man. That's it. There is no discrimination because there is no minority in a truly free society.

  • I might add, after my contribution of $100 Federal Reserve thingys, they are essentially 100 votes to shut down the Federal Reserve itself! Go Peter!!!

  • You have my $100, let's kick some treasonous capitol hill ass and restore the Constitution!

  • Stop nbeing a politician - just go on there and let them have it. Come on man you our only hope.

Grass roots.. Senate.. Why? You want to join the bad guys?

Deluded if you think you will hold your position in there. Start your own Government - why do you need to join their group!

  • where did my comments go whats going on

  • Get a better Camera too, you have to look spiffy and shiny to catch a dumb persons attention, I know it sounds crazy but if you really want to win, and I want you to win, you have to. Say it so a child can understand!

  • I donated fifty dollars too. Pete your only problem is you pitch to intelligent people who actually understand what your saying. You have to find a way to pitch to the stupid people too. Get in the church that's where all the dumb people are. they have to see you. You need to find a way to make the dumb people understand!

  • Hahaha, excellent - so true. You're the first one who phrases it so brilliantly.

One thing's for sure, Barack's got plenty of experience speaking with the poor and the lost... He's real good don't get me wrong and I really like his speeches. Maybe we should just hire Barack's writer and have him work with Peter for a couple of months...

  • I donated $50 and I make about $1,100 a month after taxes. Go for the ribbon, Schiff. Let's whoop some ignorant ass.

  • Search youtube for " Peter Schiff was right ":

  • You think that is being right is appreciated. It is probably not. People makes decisions based on feelings, and justify the decision with logic. As you are correct on fundamentals you will be correct in the end (its like fighting gravity), but people will experience the world the way they want. And TV usually needs people to feel good to keep viewers (and ad revenue).

  • Wasn't able to gather much money together today, a measly $10. Hope to donate more next month.

  • Go Peter, you're the man.

Like you said about being able to get people in the primary to understand what kind of person you are and such....I never even heard of you until about 9 months ago, and was just beginning to learn about investing, and still am. But you instantly struck a good cord with me. You should be able to do the same with others, good luck.

  • can you put paypal up or something? im a new zealander and cant contribute in the current donation format, thanks

  • You must be a US citizen to contribute to a US election campaign. It's the law.

  • You people are so simple minded about healthcare.....Healthcare is so expensive now because of government.Doctors hate burecracy and will give you big discounts to pay cash...A true free market would make health affordable,,,,the same solutions would fix the schools

  • You're too simple minded Pete. You've got lots of common sense about financial matters, but many of our social problems cannot be solved by unfettered supply/demand market forces as you assert. Healthcare cannot be left to the business community unchecked, or we'll have exactly the system we have now, utter failure. You're also wrong about the motivations of entrepreneurs... they'll actually work harder under higher taxation, but they also become greedier and more exploitive.

  • Healthcare can be run effectively by private enterprise. The only reason it wasn't very good previously is because it was such a monopoly. The reason it was such a monopoly is because the government erected barriers to entry in the market. So only a few highly regulated firms could exist.

  • If the government was underpaying the doctors by 30% for medicare, we wouldn't be paying higher amounts to subsidize their losses.

Get rid of medicare, problem solved.

  • There is no such thing as unchecked, you are using buzzwords as if the people don't even pay for these services and its the people that make the market regulated on whether a business stays in business. The last thing we need is another middle man between the customer and the business. If you support State intervention you are supporting too big to fail. Let the fools run their greed ignorance over the customer demands, we need to start failing the monopolies and the State needs to step aside.

  • Peter. Where is your evidence that the entrepreneurs don't work as hard under higher taxation? This is a sweeping statement. You gotta back it up.

You can work hard and still be dirt poor. People get rich maybe cause they work hard, and maybe cause they are a wee bit rich in the first place.

What 's wrong with "the people" chipping in for services like health and schools. It's kinda nice.

  • Poor people have to work hard no matter what, if they don't then they don't survive. Ultimately they are wage earners. Rich have option to a) grow business and hire more people thus contribute to overall economy or b) not bother because taxes take away the motivation.

Also how can we talk about nationalization of health care and reigning in costs when most people still WILLINGLY & KNOWINGLY eat junk food full of HFCS for example, thanks subsidies to corn industry . Dems/Reps don't get it!

  • He is an entrepreneur, and so are a lot of us, and it's simple, you take away some of our pie and we won't feel the need to work that extra hard to recoup what the govt. has taken away...there's everything wrong with wanting to chip into a system that will be mismannaged by govt. beurocrats when as an entrepreneur you know the private sector can always do better...as bad as it may seem at times.

  • Good luck Peter, we need you! I'm just an eighteen year old living in Canada, but I'll make a donation.

  • Peter, I'm New Zealander but I'm worried for America bigtime, would love to see you run and will make a donation. If I can do that as a non American, then I think Americans should be even more supportive of you!

The arrogance of American politicians and their corruption is unbelievable... it's time Americans made better decisions for their country- period! Stopping their policing of the world would be a good start.

  • You are soo right

This is coming from an american!!!!

  • Peter - you're usually right - but not on health.

The USA has woeful health system costs >15% of GDP. All other 19 OECD countries spend 7% to 11% of GDP on health. AND HAVE UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE. Why does care for all cost less? a. because health insurers don't take so much profit, b. the public access health care early and in preventive fashion, c. more money and less paperwork at doctor/nurse/hospital level = efficiency d. centralised scientific decisions on health care spending.

  • Actually anything known as Public is free to use, so everyone uses it and that becomes over burden and inefficient. The growing problem with the medical care is Government and its managed care. Nixon has been one of the biggest idiots to start this crap and it now its just awful. There is no competition going on, you have a 3rd party involved which make the cost jack up high, you have special interest as always.. Its been too much State intervention. Let the market work...

  • i hope you'll run. god speed, peter schiff.

  • Very nice videos Peter, and I would like to see you in the Senate.

I have a question though about the "incentives" portion of this video... What the hell do people need $1mil a year for anyway? I'm sorry, but that's "capitalist greed" showing it's ugly face.

  • I understand the idea that most people think that that is more money than people need (and for the sake of argument, I make about 1200 dollars a month). Those are the people that invest capital that makes our economy grow and creates wealth and more job opportunities. Without the ability of wealthy people to make maximum profits, the poor would be poorer.

  • right gilbert. rich becoming poorer can just lead to a net loss of wealth for the economy as a whole. it sure as heck doesn't mean the poor gained anything--and it probably means they are losing their jobs.

  • Exactly right...they wealth only gets further narrowed down and split up between the remaining rich because they are destroying the middle class. This is what happened to the USSR. It happens everywhere that doesn't have a free economy.

  • What about the part where Schiff said that there is a zero balance - if people are making money, then others are losing money. It seems that if a CEO is making insane personal profits, then someone is loosing money somewhere else. It's companies that need large capitals and that should invest, not people.

  • I guess what he's talking about is that according to Max Keiser ( /watch?v=xbGPjLnRjHE ) Goldman Sachs is cheating and skimming (or fleecing) the markets by electronically front running the markets (He explains in part 2). Every cent they gain in this way comes out of honest investor's pockets.

This type of activity doesn't add value to the markets..it subtracts it.

  • Rich people invest their money in new industries and create employment. If they find that doing that isn't worth it because so much of their money is being taken, they wont.

  • So is 150k too much money also?

  • What a person makes is reflected to their labor, this could be from a lack of labor and high demand or something propped up backed the State or within the company itself (example CEOs). If this is legitimate, then they are doing a service to the market in a good way. If not, then they are over paid and there will be a failure within the business or competition within the labor will adjust his paid to the market rate. (which means he won't be screwing his employer and the customer or as much..)

  • Its not easy to wake up to the reality, some see it right away, for some it takes time....

    keep spreading the truth .

    thanks!

  • I'll give you credit. Well done on your predictions! Not everyone can see the puppetmaster's schemes.

  • Comment removed

  • good luck Peter!

  • They think that by asking you how long you have been bearish that they can catch you in the simple "clock is right twice" trap.

  • Thank You, Peter. I laughed from CNBC. Great job. You were Awesome.

  • i saw that you stood up, held your ground and then some. there is a power in being right. I for one am proud of you . Thanks!

  • damm second viva peter

  • Cannot donate - I'm a foreigner. What to do?

  • Support Libertarianism in your own country! That's what I'm doing.
