I'm surprised to see you struggle so much with this beautiful piece. I have seen you play equally difficult pieces so incredibly well! Still, its nice to see someone who plays as well as you do occassionally struggle in their mastery of a piece. It's part of the challenge that makes playing classical guitar so much fun! I will look forward to hearing Lagrima (3) !!!
Pretty. I agree that the interpretation is a major part of this piece. Technique is technique, but in these lovely little pieces, one must put all ones feelings, as you do.
Coming along very well! It's GOOD that you are varying the timing and dynamics (the moods) of the repeats.
A little technical advice: Be extra careful how you release a bass note before hopping to the next one. Carefully lift the finger straight up off the bass note so it doesn't squeak, THEN shift to the next position. This will make the bass notes a tiny bit shorter, but that's OK -- better than squeaking, and you can still slide the melody notes for a singing, legato effect. You can do it!
wow...
Yeah that's much better than the version no1Good stuff to see you progress. Sometimes i imagine some story that i try to tell when i play classical stuff. It helps to make the piece to be alive and kicking. Very well played.
Hola Julie. Me gusta mucho tu sentido musical.
it is played clearly, but dynamic & tempo are not always correct, sometimes it is too slow, then faster, looks like stopping & not only concerning the rallentando parts, anyhow just details you'll make better with time
I watched a few of your videos and can't help to comment that your tones are clear but you played slow tempo even for fast pieces. Is there a reason to that? Just my observation.
It can be noticed you're improving your technique. Also You put in your interpretation the most important ingredient, your haeart and feelings. Good job! Keep growing as an artist, you'll go far.
not as durable as normal strings, you will have to change them every week, but having tried them you will never return to normal strings even if the money does matter. There are also similar strings from D Adario, they are more durable, but not as good as Savarez.
You have excellent posture, technique, and tone. I've actually improved my posture, and sound from watching your videos! Thanks, and can't wait to see you play Capricho Arabe by Tarrega.
Hi Julie, I enjoyed your interpretation very much. Your tempo and dynamics are good. I am inspired to learn this piece myself now! I do miss your signature hand wave at the end!! Thanks, Jeff
i see you have done an huge progres of playing it again. I glade hearing you after long long time again. Slightly i felt you were nervose but that worked out well to you Julie ;-o. Looks you been playing many times and after looking for better version. See you , Julia . AsGoodAsItGetsVidas
Noway you can make any music gross! But this is better than the first, I think. You play it just as I try to make my students to play it. With lots of felings and frasing! Absolutely great!!
excelente, y mucho mejor que lagrima 1
felicidades.

Nice. Try Savarez Alliance HT Classic 540 RH
Polished Silver wound Bass strings. They are
not as durable as normal strings, you will have to change them every week, but having tried them you will never return to normal strings even if the money does matter. There are also similar strings from D Adario, they are more durable, but not as good as Savarez.
It is a matter of taste, though...
