im irish and i remember ths being in the news in the summer i didnt pass much heed to it i was kinda happy for japan after what has happened in the last year buut now ive actually taken an interest to football i really want the us wnt to win at the olympics and i really want to see abby get her world cup next time round
i honestly dont know how i could ever live with the whole situation that transpired at that world cup. i spread my ashes in the goal before games, dedicate the games themselves besides all the work i did to my dad (w/ his situation) and some asswipe pulls me and scurry... does what she did. i feel for her so much. i know i would never be able to get over it. thats not just something "well i'll get over it". forget her looks (please), forget even how great she is, thats a strong woman internally

I loved how she said she was playing for eveyone, her family and for herself. I felt her pain after i saw the championship. I play rep soccer and i am a goalie. I know how the pressure feels epscially in the finals. We lost in extra time. I felt so bad and started to tear up and was about to cry. In a way, i have felt what she went through. I hope to be just like her.
It's truly remarkable how well she was able to play at this year's WWC given her shoulder injury.I mean she didn't even have full range of motion, and had to take injections for the pain. It wasn't her best performance in a tournament, and she'll be the first to admit it, but it was stll very good. I can't wait to see team US go on their journey to the Olympics next year. I hope they will be as successful making a comeback as they were last time around.
@EmeraldIsleStar She made many more saves than she did mistakes. She made more than half a dozen saves in at least three games in the tournament. She also made pk saves in both pk shootouts against brazil and japan which took place just 7 days apart. She made her save, and if her teammates could have sunk their shots that would have given them the win. Though I think anyone would have had a hard time trying to win 2 games in pk shootouts in one week in a major tournament.
@EmeraldIsleStar She wouldve made those saves. Her team wasnt any better! they kicked the ball over the net and missed the goal on the penalty kicks. Penalty kicks are pretty much luck. She admitted herself that on the first kick she moved to early. But i agree with you on the last part, im a girl and i would go lesbian 4 her ANYDAY
why do caches screw people up like that that happened to me in the 8th grade i tryed out for mey school team and got cut for the worst person to play in goal im not trying to be cocky but i am 10x better than her i cried for days wouldnt try out for any other school sport i had no confidence left inside me i would always tell myself i cant do this im not good enough then after travel games and i had game making dession save i tell my dad only if coach saw that would her dession be different

I didn't know the truth behind her "controversial" comments. I have the utmost respect for her. What precious time they lost suspending her from play. What an inspirational woman.
