Corvette weighs in at around 3100lbs and has a 360hp engine and a Dart at 410hp (if it had the max wedge) or 370hp (with out it) and weighs in about 3300lbs, then you take into account of the transmissions and gearing, and if you listen you hear slicks being mentioned on the vette which means its not stock Vette won in the damn song get over it. Typical mopar guy thinks biggest engine wins.

The vette won but in real life the 413 usually would win. Where has the time gone it seems like yesterday I was driving on the strip and that was all we lived for was racing from light to light or going out in the country to race. Cant do it today to many cars and too dangerous. Good ole days RIP

When I was 17, I had gotten a '62 Chrysler Newport convertible. It had the 413 with the long cross ram manifold. It pushed that 4500 pound car around pretty well. It was quite the cruiser on the highway. I had always wondered what that engine would have done in a Dart , Savoy or Belvidere ?
I have a hard time deciding who I want to win this race, since my dad put a hot 327 into 56 Chev and kicked some serious butt around town back in the day, and did 130+ on the highway (the electric shift overdrive from a Vette helped out!)
However, his last car was a 72 Charger that I still own, that now has a Big Block under the hood :)

@mystifier78 ...I was there in the sixties...no Chibbie small block ever produced the awesome torque of a Mopar 413..never happened..although slow off the line with the automatic trans ,when the 413 got into its power band...the shit hit the fan...and the top end was frightening..dream on Chibbie boys...cause that's all ya got...
