think i can answer that,when enter ex mode u automatically block an attack made against you,if an enemy has caught you in a combo its good to enter ex mode to block it :)

@Shlapidapi you beat all the 'crystal storys' then beat shade impulse [til the point after you beat chaos] then a story is unlocked where you choose who you want and fight through the chaos characters level 60^ and finally after completeing it you can purchase him in the PP catalog

i leveled him up from level one to 100 on my bonus day didnt use the magic pot trick cause i want him to also master his moves :) and it was fun kicking ass xD

There is an accs that is called gold hourglass, it slows down the time for ur ex gauge to go down.

My guess is he probably has a lot of ex duration and intake range. The more brave dmg he does, the more he will soak up. You can remain in ex mode as gabby for an entire fight.

k here's a strategy for all characters against Chaos...

but first, equip Magic Pot (auto for better chance at your stage of the game, unless u have sumthin better)

1st round: Just spam hp attacks, get ex bar to full and whatever u do..DONT use a summon, manual or auto.

2nd round: there's two options.

1. Use EX mode and own him using HP attacks, since ur higher level, u should have not that much of a problem with breaking Chaos's brv

2. Use summon, if auto, satisfy the requirements for it

Gabranth does look cool but well in the end hes sorry for what he did so what paladin400 said shouldnt have been thumbed down cause the undying is the last boss but not worthy to be a dissidia character though vayne could have been in dissidia against Vann but i like gabranth over vayne, vayne looks weird tbh and to tell you the truth gabranth is much cooler than vayne but in that case basch should have been put instead of shantotto

Aw, seriously? That sucks. FFXII needs more representation. It's a shame they didn't include Basch (Brother vs. Brother thing, for the third time in this game), or even Balthier. Hell, Vaan would've sufficed, just to counteract Gabranth as every series (except XI) has a hero/villain interaction. Oh well. Guess I'm going with Jecht before I go with Gabranth.

Ugh, the Undying? He was ridiculously easy. He was just a giant wall that took time to knock down. I didn't like the Undying for this simple fact. Gabranth may be an anti-hero vice villian, but still the best to come from the series and into Dissidia. That's why I think they should've included Basch. Ashe would've been fine as well for more female representation. But not the Undying.

Omigosh! Gabranth has all of Basch's Quickenings! I cannot wait to get this game! Gabranth is the first villian I'm unlocking. Screw Sephiroth. Gabranth is the most badass FF villain, in my opinion!

You have to beat the entire story before you can unlock Gabranth, unfortunately. And then you have to beat an optional story path.

And then you have to pay 1000 Prize Points.

I'd unlocked all of the other villains by the time I even got close to unlocking Gabranth. He's awesome and fun to use--it's a pity that the only story mode he's usable in is Inward Chaos, but most of the villains don't get much more than that, anyway.

you know that really was my onlly complaint in FF12, the storyline bosses werent that hard, but The secret bosses,MORE THAN MADE UP for it, especially the espers and that creature with more than 50 million hp,Yiazmat, FF12 is up there with FF7 and FF8 in the bells and whistles dept.

Actually, none of the story is about them. The story is about the KH original characters. The FF characters were basically just a way to get people interested in a the games. If you look at the story you see that the FF characters don't make any impactt and the story wouldn't change at all. The story is about Sora, Riku, Kairi,and to a lesser extent the disney characters. Just look at the latest KH game 358/2 Days. There is only one FF character in there, that being a moogle in an Org. cloak.

Have you even played kingdom hearts 1? The whole story of Ansem revolves around Leon, Cloud, Yuffie ans Aerith, without them Ansem would just be some random bad dude.

Umm.... I played it through several times. "Ansem" has nothing to do with them. Spoiler time, "Ansem in KH1 is actually the heartless of Xehonort. Xehonort being the apprentice of the real Ansem who is a KH original character who has not even met any of the FF characters let alone have anything to do with them. The "Ansem" in KH1 came to be when Xehonort and 5 other apprentices decided to give up their hearts to gain the power of Kingdom Hearts.

i just unlocked him and DAMN he's doing 0 - 1 dmg with no items and 1-2 dmg WITH items =/

and seeing you with lvl 100 and still like 20 dmg in hits makes me question (aside from the EX mode crits)

Well, with good equips you can increase his damage a bit, but the whole point of Gabranth is that he's kickass in EX Mode, that's why all his Brave attacks outside of EX mainly focus on blasting the enemy away, giving you some time to charge up EX. With the correct accessory setup you can pretty much stay in EX for the entire battle, which makes Gabranth a monster when played right. (:
