Wait wait... when you say "new music" you mean hardstyle? Because the "old music" ( as you say ) still exists: Trance, Electronic, Techno,... and the Shuffle can be danced to any of these, not just hardstyle, so your comment has no sense... I dance oldschool myself to every style of electronic music and it still fits.

the new shuffle needs WAAYY more space. ther aren't as much side-steps but there are more kicks and running man's. the new one is usually called the hardstyle shuffle or just a shuffle. your style is pretty kool though... it looks easy when it's not.
