I am from Canada. I ordered a bottle of authentic Czech Absinthe about 4 years ago at no little cost, and it was stopped in Customs in Montreal :( The company was of very high repute and reimbursed me, but I'd rather have had the Liquor. I know some asshole on new years was drinking the spirits I ordered, and probably laughing at me.

I might try again in another year or so. I want to try real Absinthe
