Mass effect is not an RPG, it´s more 3rd person action game. I have both of them and I am finished both but I didn´t like them. They are very limited and very linear gameplay. And I just hate games which bossing you around and won´t let you do anything what you want.

The days of exclusives are over, just about every game that comes out on Xbox 360 comes out on the PS3 as well, and vice versa. There are a couple exceptions. Personally, I own both, and both of them have a wide array of games to choose from, even with RPGs on the PS3. The games that are big enough to matter come on everything but, the Wii except games made by Nintendo.
the thing is this video was made in 2009 before a lot of awesome ps3 rpgs came out. demon's souls, resonance of fate, white night chronicles, and even mass effect came over.

As a former Xbox 360 owner and now a very proud PS3 owner, I favor the ps3 so much more. It's almost just matter of taste. I love fighting games, action and adventure, platformers, and great sports titles and I feel like PS3 rapes 360 in those. Also, I feel like PS3 has a very solid RPG library now. 360 to me nowadays seems like it's exclusively for hardcore shooter guys and casual gamers. Plus, mass effect is also on PS3 now. I guess that's what microsoft gets for taking Final Fantasy

Sadly no. MS has the rights to mass effect 1. So unless microsoft for some wierd reason allows sony to have ME on the ps3, we will never see it on the ps3.
xbox is better for rpgs...like bioware ones... mass effects, fables, dragon ages and so on... ps3 is better for action games like infamous .. and most games are the same on both like fifa, nhl, red dead redemption ,etc. On the ps3 you have free online gaming... none of this xbox live subscription nonsense... both are good consoles with great games... it's down to personal preferences really :)
@TheSuperRatt Yep the PS3 network was offline and as an apology Sony allowed gamers to download 2 whole games (from a selection of 5) free. I went with Wipeout and Infamous...the others were little big planet... ratchet and clank and some zombie game I think... Infamous is awesome, so to get it for free more than makes up for the down-time. So glad I don't have any of my bank details on there though! Single...as in didn't have an rpg gf or what? Hopefully Sony have it sorted out now.
@zamio1 The only difference I notice between the networks is that the xbox came with a microphone-so it makes chatting to friends easier.I could always buy one for the ps3,but never felt I needed a mic enough to warrant getting one.That aside,both run smoothly and have easy to use interfaces.I found playing NHL on xbox live very occasionally laggy if playing too many people from different countries.No such problems with NHL11on PS3though.Just my personal experience,might be different for others.
@neoballast Well, Playing certain games online with Xbox gave me no lag at all, yet with PS3 I experienced an annoyance like no other. I have Virgin Internet BTW.
@zamio1 I've BT Infinity. The lag I may have encountered on xbox live would have been with a slower broadband connection, so I reckon both networks are similar. From what I hear on this page though, many seem to favour XBL more.
@neoballast Online play is based on QUALITY not PRICE, My brother plays Cod4 online alot, and I play MW2 alot. My brother plays on PS3 and I play on Xbox. I NEVER lose connection to xbl and like 3 times a day at a minimum my brother loses connection to psn.
@G15UNIT I haven't played either of those games so can't comment. I've played lots of sports games e.g. Fifa/NHL/Tony Hawks on both and there isn't any real difference between PSN and xbox live in my experience. I'm sure plenty of other people have other experiences - I can only account for mine. Thanks for letting me know about your experience. For me the quality is high on both networks.

I haven't played an rpg on the pc in ages-was happy playing neverwinter nights and baldurs gate on pc - but I gave up on pc games when I had to keep upgrading-so got a console for playing games, knowing it'll be good till the next gen console comes out. Well feast your eyes on the fact that Microsoft sold Mass Effect's IP to EA who then brought it to the PS3 in an even better form. You guys are lucky that Alan Wake and Halo haven't been sold yet.
MS never owned the IP rights of Mass Effect, they only published the first game. Had EA not have acquired Bioware, MS would have published the second one as well and it never would have been released on PS3. Besides the only thing the PS3 version had over the 360 was a motion comic that took the place of the first game, which is still available only on the 360 and PC.

As a former Xbox 360 owner and now a very proud PS3 owner, I favor the ps3 so much more. It's almost just matter of taste. I love fighting games, action and adventure, platformers, and great sports titles and I feel like PS3 rapes 360 in those. Also, I feel like PS3 has a very solid RPG library now. 360 to me nowadays seems like it's exclusively for hardcore shooter guys and casual gamers. Plus, mass effect is also on PS3 now. I guess that's what microsoft gets for taking Final Fantasy

xbox is better for rpgs...like bioware ones... mass effects, fables, dragon ages and so on... ps3 is better for action games like infamous .. and most games are the same on both like fifa, nhl, red dead redemption ,etc. On the ps3 you have free online gaming... none of this xbox live subscription nonsense... both are good consoles with great games... it's down to personal preferences really :)

@TheSuperRatt Yep the PS3 network was offline and as an apology Sony allowed gamers to download 2 whole games (from a selection of 5) free. I went with Wipeout and Infamous...the others were little big planet... ratchet and clank and some zombie game I think... Infamous is awesome, so to get it for free more than makes up for the down-time. So glad I don't have any of my bank details on there though! Single...as in didn't have an rpg gf or what? Hopefully Sony have it sorted out now.

@zamio1 The only difference I notice between the networks is that the xbox came with a microphone-so it makes chatting to friends easier.I could always buy one for the ps3,but never felt I needed a mic enough to warrant getting one.That aside,both run smoothly and have easy to use interfaces.I found playing NHL on xbox live very occasionally laggy if playing too many people from different countries.No such problems with NHL11on PS3though.Just my personal experience,might be different for others.

@zamio1 I've BT Infinity. The lag I may have encountered on xbox live would have been with a slower broadband connection, so I reckon both networks are similar. From what I hear on this page though, many seem to favour XBL more.

@neoballast Online play is based on QUALITY not PRICE, My brother plays Cod4 online alot, and I play MW2 alot. My brother plays on PS3 and I play on Xbox. I NEVER lose connection to xbl and like 3 times a day at a minimum my brother loses connection to psn.

I've played lots of sports games e.g. Fifa/NHL/Tony Hawks on both and there isn't any real difference between PSN and xbox live in my experience. I'm sure plenty of other people have other experiences - I can only account for mine. Thanks for letting me know about your experience. For me the quality is high on both networks.

@apple3346004 The title of the video is 360 vs ps3, so PCs aren't part of this particular arguement. I haven't played an rpg on the pc in ages-was happy playing neverwinter nights and baldurs gate on pc - but I gave up on pc games when I had to keep upgrading-so got a console for playing games, knowing it'll be good till the next gen console comes out. Also mass effect wasn't out on the ps3 when I wrote the original comment and think Fable is still only xbox/pc - hence saying xbox was rpg better

@apple3346004 Star Wars KOTORs, Jade Empire and other Bioware games on the original Xbox also helped create a western RPG reputation for the xbox,whereas the playstation had Final Fantasy as its most popular rpg (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no expert). IMO, Mass Effect is like a modern KOTOR whereas Dragon Age is closer to Fable (in terms of when they're set, weapons, etc). This debate has nowt to do with the pc. I'm not a fan of mmorpgfps tbh.Yes Fallout is great...looking forward to skyrim...

MS never owned the IP rights of Mass Effect, they only published the first game. Had EA not have acquired Bioware, MS would have published the second one as well and it never would have been released on PS3. Besides the only thing the PS3 version had over the 360 was a motion comic that took the place of the first game, which is still available only on the 360 and PC.
