in the old days when they MIXed things in the studio, they would already have the tracks seperated, Meaning each part of the band would come in and play against a recording of the previous member, so they could get a clean track , if they had to take retakes with the entire band people would have gone insane if someone made a mistake, This is David in the sound booth, with headphones on listening to the music, you can hear it at 2:01, he still kicked sammies ass!
