@torinakins yeah i agree i shouldnt have did but hey thats how you learn...i never really took the time to study my hair till now so now i know that i am indeed protein sensitive...
I knew bc when I was relaxed I tried the aphogee and my hair felt like straw. It was so bad that it started breaking at the ends and I decided to trim and trim and trim. Eventually just went natural. I do use protein every few months in my giovanni smooth as silk shampoo/conditioner and my hair will feel good. But if I use it more often then that I get that extreme dryness/straw like hair that is must be soaking wet to have moisture or just be trimmed off. My hair is really thick 4b
I am protein sensitive, I have tried all of Naptural85 DIY conitioners, and if I use mayo or the greek yogart my hair feels worse than when i start. I have found that oils and honey work great on my hair. Honey is a moisturizing agent and mixing it with oils is a great preepoo/dc. i also use a little of my fave moisture conditioner and lots of oils and honey and acv and it works great. but if your hair feels stringy or dry after a protein treatment you are most likely protein sensitive. HTH!
@bermygirl147 oh wow! good looking out with that one...im glad someone else on here is protein sensitive...i do the same moisturizing treatments as you (previous vids)...i love my pre-poos so no more protein treatments...lesson learned
if there is nothing wrong with your hair (breakage or imbalanced) why are you even adding protein. you may be over thinking this and doing too much.
