Love the videos and the hard work you put into each one. I had a question about this one, at 0:53 Navi turns green and flies under the grating. Do you know why that happens?
There are several places in this dungeon where Tatl will turn green. You can target these spots and get hints from Navi. In that example, she'll say something like "Isn't the room below where we saw Darunia?" It's to get the player thinking about using the Hammer once you get to that point.
@TheZeldaDungeon at 9:15 you say the goron claims bombs won't work on the door, but the subtitles say he claims the hammer won't work on it. Is there another secret entrance somewhere?
you get farores wind at zora's fountain where jabu-jabu is, go to where 2 rocks are, grey one on left, normal one on right, set bomb in middle, then walk in the entrance, it is a great fairy's fountain.
@rockmonster55 You are still able to go back in time and get Din's Fire, you just have to beat the forest temple to make Sheik move from the Pedestal. To get Farore's Wind, go to Zora's Domain where Jabu-Jabu is (past or future), and smash the silver rock and there will be a hole. There ya go.
1. i forgot to learn eponas song and i want to go back in time to learn coz that GIRL IS NOT RECOGNIZING ME . And you know the worst part ? SHIEK IS BLOCKING THE GOD DAMN STOOL TO STRIKE THE SWORD!
2. Sorry to say this, but i cant find dins fire .
3. (its a question) Dude , how scary is the shadow temple ?
4. Will you make a skyward sword walkthrough when it releases ?
1) Complete the Forest Temple, then Shiek will move.
2) It's outside Hyrule Castle. Climb over the vines at the start of the area and run straight ahead to find a boulder, then follow your Zelda instincts.
god, i'm never gonna be able to do this! I'm playing on computer, and Link can only go forward, backward, left, right! Well, guess I can just play like I did when I was a kid: ride around on Epona endlessly.
Just wondering, but is your emulator a version of the 1.0 or 1.1 N64 version. Because you have the moonsymbol on the movingblocks, and they where switched out with another symbol. And the fire temple has the original song.
@TheZeldaDungeon at 5:01 i dont have any bombs left after battle and the jars dont have anymore and the way out is blocked by flames what do i do please help me!
I HATE timed puzzles!! My joystick is so touchy and i just gotta keep doing it over and over and over and over and over and over and over....until I'm ready to blow my face off and throw the damn game out the window!! GRRR! :(
It's in the back of Zora's Fountain, there's a large wall with a silver boulder. The whole wall is bombable though, you don't need to move the boulder. This will reveal a large cave entrance to the fairy fountain.
Doesn't work that way. Farore's Wind creates a marker where you entered the room from (red triangle on your mini-map). If you were to cast that spell anywhere in the room, the marker would still appear at the door and you would appear there if you use Farore's Wind again.
6:31 Imagine the pain and frustration I went through just to get that hammer on my first time trying to get it...fell down the hole several times, ran out of magic, had to kill more enemies to get some more, then when I was down to the last of my magic again, I FINALLY GOT IT...not to mention I jumped off the opposite side too and got smacked by a boulder several times...I hated that puzzle!
Everytime I go to a Fairy Fountain and play Zelda's Lullaby, nothing happens. It makes the noise like I used the right melody and whatnot. Still, no fairy appears or anything. Any ideas? Thanks! :)
I haven't gotten any spells. I've gone to the Fairy Fountain by the castle (when Link was still a child) and played her lullaby, it made the little noise, but nothing happened. Then I did the same thing at the Fairy Fountain by Lord Jabu-Jabu, and nothing happened there, either. I don't have a magic bar yet. Could that be the problem?
That could be. The first Fairy Fountain is practically shoved down your throat for all the hints they give you, which is at the top of Death Mountain. Blow up the funny looking wall near the entrance to Death Mountain Crater to find a Fairy Fountain and inside you'll get the Magic Meter along with the Spin Attack enhancement.
Farore's Wind is a spell, thus costs Magic to use. As long as you have enough magic power, you can cast it whenever you want as long as you're in an area where it works.
As I said in the video, Ocarina of Time was released several different times, and with each version they fixed various bugs found in the game. I have one of the earlier versions, I believe v1.1 so it wouldn't surprise me if it's something that was fixed in your release of the game.
In Zora's Fountain, in the bottom-right corner of the map, there's a small island sticking out of the water with a lone tree and a silver boulder. The entire wall that the silver boulder is up against is bombable, so blow it up and enter the giant cave. Inside is a Great Fairy Fountain, so simply play Zelda's Lullaby alike the other fountains and she'll give you Farore's Wind.
That has to do with that Ocarina of Time was released in three versions on the N64 (and later the GC version). The version you are playing in the walkthrough is either v1.0 or v1.1, which are the oldest versions. Go to Zelda wiki and search for Ocarina of Time, and read under Versions to see what i mean. The Islamic chant heard in the video was removed for v1.2 which is by far the most common version. The Flare Dancer not hurting is probably a bug, that has been removed by v1.2
After u play the song of time at the end is when the islamic prayer is most noticable. It woulda made more sense to have it in the desert temple (i dont remember the exact name of it at the moment)
I've been following your video walkthroughs through the whole series but I have a problem. I'm only at the forest temple right now. Though I have 2 extra piece of hearts. Right before the forest temple you have 10 hearts. While I have 11 hearts. Do you know how this happened?
Caleb ~ Several games in the Zelda series are very non-linear, meaning you can do the dungeons out of order. Although this is true with Ocarina of Time as well, I am doing the dungeons in order. That being said, I'm trying to get Heart Pieces and Gold Skulltulas as we get to those areas. For example, I am eligible for several Heart Pieces in Lake Hylia that I have not gotten yet because we will go there in a chapter or two. You probably got some I don't have in this manner. Make sense?
i think you play the original version because i heard the song by the arabic men (and for information its prayer to a god he sing in the background of the fire temple )
i don't know why, but I still get a little lost in the Fire Temple. Not "First Time through the Water Temple" lost, but I wander around in circles a bit.
Caleb ~ I'll explain that in the next video. There's a few different releases for Ocarina of Time. In the original, the Fire Temple had men chanting in Arabic in the background: "I bear witness there is no God but Allah." Because it isn't politically correct, Nintendo had to change it for later releases along with other things, such as making Ganondorf cough up green liquid rather than red when you defeat him at the end.
Caleb ~ I do the audio in chunks as I watch the video, trying it over and over again until I get it right and I'm satisfied that I don't mess up (like saying 'white' when I meant to say 'right')
Caleb ~ When you use Farore's Wind, it creates the Warp Point where you entered the room from (where the red triangle is). In this case, that would be at the door. Any teleportation throughout this game always ends all timers, be it side quests or puzzles. So in both cases, Farore's Wind wouldn't help us.
Yes, Farore's Wind warp points always get placed at the last door that you went through. This also has a convenient side-effect:
If you're lazy (or just magic-conservative) and don't cast Farore's Wind in that room and then you fall down the hole, you can still cast Farore's Wind to create a warp point *after* you've fallen into the room below and use it to get back to the entrance of the room above. So technically, there's no need to preemptively cast Farore's Wind.
jordan simpson - hi, ive been following the walkthrough evar since you started making it, but now there's a slight problem...... my GAMECUBE disk witch i play my n64 games on is'nt working very well. e.g the game glitches like all the time! and whats really weird is that the clawshot, does not work properly! the little red dot does not come up when i aim it at something! abd Epona hate jumping over thing's, she refuses to jump!!!!!!
