Abortion is a woman's choice because the fetus is inside the woman. She is much more involved. If the man doesn't want to be a father, he doesn't have to. He doesn't have to give birth or even meet the kid if he doesn't want to. He does have to pay child support (if the mother so desires), and really, in this world you pay for the mistakes you make. If neither want the kid, then there's abortion or adoption. The man really doesn't get to decide if this woman chooses to give birth.

When a man has to go through to pain and suffering of an abortion or childbirth then you can complain. Yes 2 adults that have unprotected sex should know better about the possibility of a child, however it is and always will be a woman's choice to end or continue a pregnancy because they are physically affected by it as well as emotionally. The reason the abstinence initiatives failed was do to the ad campaigns. The unintended consequence was an increase of exposure by teens to commercials of which sex was the subject matter. This increased exposure to sex talk increased teens sexual activity, increasing pregnancy rates. Teens never think it can happen to them; so, the ads failed.

I don't think I've ever heard of a story where someone had to pay a shitton of money after being in the hospital in my country. Even if you don't have the money to pay your insurance fees, you get basic healthcare paid for. Oh and my son is almost 8 year old by now, but thanks for the congrats ;)

I consider myself to be pro-choice, but this by no means, means that I agree with abortion as a normal thing. It should never be used as a form of contraception, it shouldn't have to happen full stop. But sadly we live in a world full of unwanted children, and people who don't think about the consequences of their actions. This is just a prime example of it. So sad.

He can either adopt, or get with a woman who DOES WANT his child.

Abortion is a woman's choice because the fetus is inside the woman. She is much more involved. If the man doesn't want to be a father, he doesn't have to. He doesn't have to give birth or even meet the kid if he doesn't want to. He does have to pay child support (if the mother so desires), and really, in this world you pay for the mistakes you make. If neither want the kid, then there's abortion or adoption. The man really doesn't get to decide if this woman chooses to give birth.

When a man has to go through to pain and suffering of an abortion or childbirth then you can complain. Yes 2 adults that have unprotected sex should know better about the possibility of a child, however it is and always will be a woman's choice to end or continue a pregnancy because they are physically affected by it as well as emotionally. I am a male myself, but I agree with Judge Pirro because when the man forces/pressures ect the woman against their will to abort a healthy or unhealthy embryo than she does not have that option/right anymore.
Normal people do not abort for no reason - their reason must have been so great that abortion is the only option.

@ETericET I have to correct you on one point. Actually, abstinence DOES work to prevent pregnancy, as not having sex prevents one from getting pregnant. The reason the abstinence initiatives failed was do to the ad campaigns. The unintended consequence was an increase of exposure by teens to commercials of which sex was the subject matter. This increased exposure to sex talk increased teens sexual activity, increasing pregnancy rates. Teens never think it can happen to them; so, the ads failed.

As you stated, condoms are only about 98% effective, with similar effectiveness for other forms of contraception or birth control. The only surefire way to prevent pregnancy is abstinence. Of course, I'm not naive enough to suggest that for adults (love sex, myself).

What he did not want was the initial pregnancy. His "choice" was to not have the baby even born. But, this does not matter because he is a man, right? Of course, if the woman is the one that wanted to have the abortion, it is her "choice," right?

this is ridiculous..... i have been watching judge judy since along time...where she perfectly talks about the point related to the law suit...and doesnt allow drama and personal information unrelated to the case....
it was completely unnecessary to even waste time in asking the mother about swinger website...and then bringing the baby inside the court room...for "awwww" n emotions....this is like watching a spiced up soap opera filled with drama......VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Abortion is not right but its there for a reason.
Its all well and good saying they should have protected themselves, but the fact is they didnt.
Abortion is there for instances such as these where no family planning was involved or where the quality of life for the child will worsen after birth.
He is wrong to say he wanted her to abort, because he has established a bond with the child and as such he should pay for her.

Choice means she can choose not to have a abortion, and I'm mortified by how this man talks about his daughter. I'm as supportive as abortion as can be, but when your child is born you must take responsibility for that child.

It's disingenuous to say that it's unfair that the father doesn't have a say. Let's be honest here, guys don't want *a* say, they want the final word. Well it's not the guy who's pregnant.
But if you want a say there's an easy way to do that and that's called having a relationship. Get to know the woman, find out her opinions on abortion & what should happen if she gets pregnant *before* having sex with her. If you want her to consider your opinion on it you have to talk to her first.

I'm so glad I don't live in the States when I see these kind of videos. $56.000 dollars for having a baby is absolutely ridiculous! I'm so glad I live in a country where I don't have to worry about being in heaps of debt after having gone through something so difficult. I had a c-section and my insurance took care of everything.

@sugarxspice15 Well I stayed in the hospital for a week after my son was born due to complications with the healing process of my wound, so I had complications as well. I don't think I've ever heard of a story where someone had to pay a shitton of money after being in the hospital in my country. Even if you don't have the money to pay your insurance fees, you get basic healthcare paid for. Oh and my son is almost 8 year old by now, but thanks for the congrats ;)
