  • @ThePeaceableKingdom hey don't sell Small Fry short - the vocal may seem a bit silly these days but the bobby hackett cornet solo is quite something

  • These are all such wonderful recordings! Classics!

  • Terrific!! Thanks, Atticus.

  • Trumbauer sure had a heck of a band in those days...

  • @ThePeaceableKingdom It's actually "Adrian Rollini's Club New Yorker Orchestra" (existed only for 2 months in September and October 1927). The records are under Tram's name because he had the contract with OKeh.

  • @Atticus70 Thanks for the info. I really appreciate the scholarship you attach to your videos - recording dates, personel, etc.

I don't know too many records by Adrian Rollini. A cursory look at my collection showed only 1, "Small Fry" from a decade after "Crying All Day," but I might turn up 1 or 2 more if I looked harder...

As always, thanks for posting such wonderful and interesting material!

  • Starts out kind of "Goodie Goodie" which was a hit in the '30's.
