@ZookieWorld everything you need is included in the box. The TOS Link cable is mine but Astro includes a fiber optic cable.

@MxHxC the headset is not wireless, the mixamp is wireless. The mixamp is what comes with the transmitter. You can purchase both as a packaged deal but if you bought the mixamp, the headset would be another separate purchase.

Thanks i was so mad with my headset. I got it for christmas and it would barely pick up sound from the mic. I saw you flip the switch on the quick disconnect (which i had not realized was there). I flipped it and was working perfect. THANK YOU!!!

PLEASE REPLY: Okay so I just got my astro a40 astros. I did everything I have to do for the setup EXCEPT for plugging in the optical cable.. Do i have to use it for game sound? becuase all ihere is voice. Plus i dont have the optical port behind my cables.

Astro's headset itself is wired, it's the wireless mixamp that made them a semi wireless headset. At MLG events, they have wired mixamp that you can plug any wired headset or pc headset( Y adapter needed)

Wats up. So I got an onza controller. yea I wont deny it is good but why use it if its not Lets say "mlg legal" (from wat I heard). Yea its a great controller for people that.dont attend events but why do you use it? I found it pretty hard to get used to and still after that I still went back to my microsoft controller. What are your thoughts about this? O and nice setup I have it the same way just that I use the turtle beach px5 which I read are better by gameinformer (magazine)

I also elaborate on a number of my thoughts on the controller. I use it because it's better than the MS controller and thanks, I do quite a number of headset reviews, I'm not particularly fond of magazine/popular site reviews. They usually don't cover enough.

I want to get a Razer Onza, but my headset is a turtle beaxh x1, and so my xbox live audio cable is'nt a plain 2.5mm, but its a puck. do you know of anyway i can remedy this problem without having to buy a new headset? (Cuz the Onza doesnt support pucks) :(
