  • Divime and definitive. I miss both so much... So beautiful and intense as to be even painful...

  • lovely

  • WONDERFUL and definitive.. Supreme partneship between an alto and a baritone sax, and w/o a piano to supply then chords!!!! Amazing!

  • I started listening to Paul while still a teenager. Always one of my favorite players! Gerry too! I remember reading somewhere that Paul wanted to embody the sound of a dry martini! Now that I'm older, I think he does! 8-)

  • Like soothing water down a mountain stream, these jazz sax giants, Mulligan and Desmond, flow through the difficult chord changes of All the Things You Are with complete ease. A gift to the listener's ears and mind.

  • Love the beginning of this, where they just play the root and the 4th back and forth!

  • When i listen to this i can shut my eyes and the sun comes out and i don't have a care in the world! :-)

  • Now THIS is what I'm talkin' about! I used to study listening to these guys—for me it was simply the Best Mind Opener...Thanks for sharing this.

  • Could anyone else scoot along like paul Desmond does for most of this - cool, pushing ever so slightly, exact, blue. Gerry Mulligan was truly the spirit of that instrument; as always a bopping, cool, fascinating cruise with him and then the two of them for the rest. Thanks for that. Paul Desmond is a giant alto sax player.

  • Great brings back old memories when jazz was really easy listening....

  • Supreme masters.
