  • we where better when we where broke

Ireland is worst thing in the euro ... Before Irish had jobs for irish.. Working man sit on the dole.. Better Life all your Doing feeding Fat cats..

  • thats why theres no . irish in Dublin.. its sunk by europe.. Were taken over...

  • if anyone doesnt have this DVD i suggest u go out and buy it tomorrow. an essential part of anyones music collection

  • luke was luke, period.

  • I sadly have to disagree with Ronnie (I swear I will never do it again), a man should always be a socialist first and then a performer or whatever he wants to be. First the thing you need to be, than the things you want to be.

  • dude, where is this documentary posted???

  • What is the name of the tune? The Banjo reel in the background?

  • @PKtheFirst : It's not a reel ...it's a slow air '' Ar Eireann Ni Neosfhainn ce hi''..''For Ireland I won't tell her name'' in English..

  • sorry guys...can anybody tell me what Barney McKenna said?? :( I'm sorry I can't understand everything...but the accent and also the voice is quite difficult

    thanks a lot

  • @Italyown - Fair enough. Barney said: "He's a man for all seasons, I'd say." Luke's been gone for 26 years and his music is still going strong, in a new century - can't argue with Barney's words. :)

  • In only the way Barney could, he said:

"He's a Man for all seasons, I'd say...."

    God Bless him

  • As only Barney could:

"He's a Man for all seasons, I'd say..."

    God Bless Him...Barney loved Luke.

  • Amen

    [...]Luke was before his time[...]

luke was always up to present times, and he ever will be. he called the things by their names. his songs were not only text but feeling. his performance gave live to subjects of the songs he performed, which were live itself! listen to them, and learn! that's the best, our prescending generations can leave us: things, we can learn from and THUS do not only good, but eventually better ;-)

  • He just was the new St Luke

  • @lytsepieter well he was actually better than St.Luke..

  • @CMLPaddY well at least he had a better voice

  • @lytsepieter lol no doubt there

  • Brings tears to your eyes rather it be remorse or joy just prolly the best feeling its true Luke was a man for all seasons. R.I.P Luke, Ronnie, and Ciaran they were truly men for all seasons and deffintly gave us some of the greatest memories.

  • who is the man at .34

  • Barney McKenna of the Dubliners

  • taken from the DVD "Luke Kelly - The Performer" ... buy it, I did and for sure it was worth it.

  • isnt he banjo background music just the most gorgeous thing you ever heard?

  • Barney said he was a man for all seasons....

  • Did they sound like they were saying it was bad he was Socialist? So was Albert Einstein.

Tribute to Luke should have justified this.

  • Love ya Luke!!!! your music will live on forever!!!

  • what did Barney said?

  • cheers guys, just felt that this little clip would be nice,

  • nice comments there and sure all of them true

  • Thanks!

  • Long live the memory of the most amazing man

    RIP Lukey.
