The only way to bring the surfs or lower class upward is with education and medical coverage for all. We could take our defense spending and apply it to schools and a non profit single payer system. Many kids who grow up poor have post traumatic stress disorder by the time they go to elementary school. They then are put into the juvenile detention system when they misbehave. And eventually find there way to prison.

anyway, first let me point out that no one is "given" rights. and to the best of my knowledge ron paul doesn't have a problem with voluntary integration that may have resulted from repealing segregation laws. my problem with forced integration is that it forced black students into schools that did not care about them. the black community is worse off today than it was prior to the civil rights act.

Ron Paul is exactly right on this issue. If nothing else, he KNOWS his facts when it comes to the Fed. Market operations, as they refer to them, do us no good and a lot of harm. The MARKET and banking sector should set interest rates according to the conditions of the economy, NOT some central bank in Washington. What an idiotic concept central banking is. As if enough shit isn't centralized. And then they try to make it seem decentralized with 12 member banks nationwide.
