  • i'd LOVE mole as a teacher

  • does anyone have the episode i believe was called Gunpowder, Treason & Plot? unsurprisingly, it's about bonfire night, and is my absolute fave but i can't find it!! help much appeciated :)

  • @ursie1986 They're all around on DVD, friend.

  • Billy plays his part perfect. "Please Mr. Badger, Please Sir". Too funny!!

  • Badger- "M.A?"

    Rat- "Muddled Animal."

    Toad- "What was that?"

    Rat- "Nothing."

    LOL

  • Columbus and vikings....oh my goood I nearly died of laughter....I'm History student...

  • The voice of the Badger is the same as the old man in Jim Henson's Labyrinth. The old man with the bird for a head.

  • @Fiddlemaster56 The voice of Badger is Classical Actor Michael Horden and Toad is voiced by David Jason who is also Dangermouse. Ratty is voiced by Peter Sallis who went on to become known as Wallace who loves cheese and crackers with his dog Gromit, do not know who mole is voiced by hope this helps.

  • @Airwolfgalexbucksfiz Peter Sallis is also Clegg on Last of the Summer Wine. :D Sir David Jason has been in heaps of stuff. Pop Larkin~! <3

  • the English used is undoubtedly perfect!

  • @faishida ?

  • @faishida but do members of the english upper classes drop the final "g", as when badger says "hoppin' " and "goin' "? Obviously toad holds the top status, but badger is certainly no weasel. Is badger simply above such concerns? What are the subtleties here?

  • "Now, where was i?

,,,,So,,, saying farewell to Charles II, Columbus and his faithful vikings set sail in The golden hign(?). And weeks later, landed on the coast of America. Not far from,,,Sidney.

EUREKA,,, he cried out as he saw the natives paddling up the river to obey foreigners." LOL!

They don't make televison like this anymore.

    Outstanding manuscript,,, and brilliantly executed!

  • Poor Billy! ... I'm with Ratty: "Good Heavens, Badger!"

  • @BorisFangirl I didn't he had one. I'm just surprised he didn't dismiss it as boring like he does with everything else thats important.

  • Toad may be stupid and reckless but at least he understands the value of a good education.

  • @Indego84 Then why doesn't Toad have a good education?

  • God, I love this series. It brings back amazing memories of lying around and watching this wonderful show,

  • I had nightmares after watching this dark sitcom as I was young!

Twin peaks sound track, and this sad sitcom are the worst... scary...

    Not for kids!

  • I must say, I quite liked the small quiet song that Badger was singing before being hit in the back by a ball.

  • Mole has one great family history. But i don't blame the kids for leaving Mr. Toad's lessons, i'd do it too! LOL

  • Toad: Headmaster...no, HIGHmaster Mr Toad MA

    Badger: MA?

    Rat:Muddled Animal

    soo funny

  • Thank you so much! I remember these from my tot days.

  • David Jason the bunny!

  • es lo mas!!!!!!!!! ya nada igual

  • ha lo quiero en español sonaba mejor

  • if this was made in the US it wouldn't be anywhere near the warmth humor it's the accents that make it SOOO darn appealing

  • i always thought that cake they eat looked dilish

  • @alanjohnpeel COLOMBUS DISCOVERED AMERICA AND HE YELLED EUREKA!

    ha ha hah ah

  • That little Rabbit is so sweet

  • The man who does Badger's voice is so familiar! I think I heard it from another movie I saw as a kid but I can't remember it. I looked his name up on wikipedia but I don't think its on there. Was his voice on the Hobbit the animated version?

  • 7:55 "Wohoo, that's what the silly old history books may say.""But I know Columbus beat him easily ho! Becuase of ELEPHANTS!"

    XD LAugh riot

  • This rules rules rules...............

  • nobody forces you to watch "this kind of shit". I think you're very unfriendly.

    Thanks, colacancol ,for posting it.

  • @KatAndBrennaTV

You're calling this shit yet you like it??

    You're the one who's a loser.

Jeez I've never met someone so shallow.

    It's a classic and that's that.

  • That Mr. Badger was a dick! Forcing school on kids?!

  • Comment removed

  • school is supposed to be forced on u, why else would you go?

  • School is supposed to be compulsory! I thought I was finished with school when I left primary school at eleven, but my teacher said I had to go until I was sixteen. It's the law!

  • I remember rockin' this badassery on VHS back in '99.

  • This is so good.

  • lol Toad's lessons would do Monty Python proud.

  • Toad's is a daft teacher!!

  • Coloumbus and his Wikings

  • Is it just me, or does the "wicked baron" that Mole's ancestors defeated look like a weasel?

I guess some things just never change! xD

  • It took me three weeks to source each of the animals seen in the "Wind in the Willows" to make a 4-course meal for my extended family...The meal was disgusting

  • 5:54 What did Ratty say?

  • "Muddled animal"

    ...I mean "nothing" :p

  • This show is hilarious, but prejudice in the animal kingdom, why is it that all the mammals are down to earth and the amphibians are trouble makers. I bet this show also offends the frog population.

  • LOL

  • Badger used to scare me!

    hahahahhaha

    "Oh Please Mr Badger!"

  • да!

не могу найти этот мультфильм на русском языке!

    yes!

Where to find this cartoon film in Russian?

  • It's never a good sign when the pupils know more than the teacher.. poor, ignorant toad... :P

  • "MA? Muddled Animal. Sorry? Nothing." Love that bit

  • Thank you mister Badger!

Awh, the rabbit is so cute. I bought these on dvd, but I only have one season. My granddad used to record wind in the willows on video a long time ago, now they remind me of him.

Oh and Toad is just so funny.

  • for some reason, Mr Toad reminds me of Dudley Moore

  • I say Toad looks a little bit like George W.Bush, Raty like Tony Blair and Mole like the Talabani fellow in Iraq, if you don't mind me saying so...

Oh well, stiff the upper lip, old chap.

    Oohhh Georgie!!!

  • aww.. poor billy 1:45 and 2:40.. I feel sorry for him when he looks like that

  • La serie más linda del mundo!!

  • Yo quisiera ver la serie es spanish me enctantó cuando la ví hace años por el canal Teleantioquia.

  • La version doblada en español no se consigue?

    the version in spanish?

  • Badger is the Don.

  • Oh - my - gosh! Growing up in the eighties in Argentina I saw The Wind in the Willows! It fed my imagination and moved me to worlds of fantasy where I would have not otherwise been. I loved these stories! My mom knew it and because she couldn't find me a book with these stories she got me a similar one, something like The Animals of the Enchanted Woods and it was totally awesome.

Thank you for uploading this clip!

  • Oh this is fantastic!! I used to watch this as a child. Thank you so much!

  • I love how the little bunny sucks his teeth at Badger's idea. Kind of like "Man! Why did I even say anything!" LOL So cute!

Such a sweet episode, I just love it.

  • Whoops, sorry, I was referring to a comment of BenBanjo87 one year ago.

  • David Jason was said to have put a child into Toad's voice, so that the other character can still be friends with him, even if he's annoying.

  • ?????????? EXPLAIN ???????????????
