You need to look past the re-writing of History in today's books. Look at the original text before he had people literally reverse our history and rewrite it to vilanize the heroes of the past. This is not your fault really. Go ask your teachers why they are doing this, and it will boil down to, "If I don't, I'll lose my job. Just like all the crap in the science books with evolution. This is not science. It came from the likes of Hitler. "You're just animals." Please think and read.

Yeah he didn't burn the boats. It's romanced that he did but he did not. Also he sailed there from Cuba and he and his men were rogue. Also he caused the death of civilization of the Native Americans in Latin and South America...

He also ended up fighting with another army of Spaniards soon after...
