  • I fucking love Terence McKenna.

  • Boards of canada? ;)

  • why the bloody echo! argh better copy anyone?

  • @immortalfruit Hi this is taken directly from the audiobook and it is exactly how it sounds in the book, there isn't a 'better copy' available i believe the echo was added to distinguish between Terrence's normal dialogue and the mushroom speaking and probably for the spacey effect as well :-)

  • @immortalfruit indeed its just the mushroom echo effect so you know it speaks hehe

  • 2:49 for Hyperspace

  • Mushrooms look like dicks too!

  • You need to be high when you watch this video! i get so much more for this when high!

  • I have a friend who says,"Mushrooms force me to take a serious, sober look at myself. I see all my faults painfully clearly. I have to accept myself as I am to move onward in the trip. But I am always left with a desire to live a more healthy, worthwhile life."

  • this sounds like a fantastic illusion. a thinly veiled story of drug addiction and dependency. don't be fooled. just think for yourself.

  • @catwomanFL72 Psilocybin is non-addictive. Thinking for yourself is a great idea. Let us not absorb knowledge without question, such as the hypocritical belief that drugs are bad, then continue to ingest alcohol and caffeine not to mention loads of pharmaceuticals, as condoned by our society. Mushrooms will reveal to you a great truth. If you think this is ridiculous, then you have never tried them with a open mind, free of fear. You simply have no idea what you are missing.

  • @CLOCKWORKCAPTAIN1 so you make a fungus your God. thats very disturbing and sad. thank God i've never tried it...don't think i'm missing much.

  • @catwomanFL72 Dont let one person affect your choices so much. You're closing a lot of very important doors by not trying it at least once in the right conditions.

  • @catwomanFL72 Haha, I make a fungus my God? Where are you getting this from? You are silly.

  • @catwomanFL72 since when is psilocybin addictive???

  • @TheEthereallotus read the title of this video again. thank you

  • @catwomanFL72 Your comments make little to no sense. First off, psilocybin containing mushrooms are non-addictive; in fact they are anti-addictive. Secondly, who says they're making any drug their God? The occasional psychonaut? Lastly, preconceived notions don't make for sound, or useful intellectual input. But since you've clearly never have the pleasure of experiencing such an enigmatic and spiritual piece of nature, I won't completely disparage your shallow preconceptions. Research. =}

  • @Raelsatu i make no sense? okay. thank you for sharing but if you use a powerful substance like this for purposes other than medicinal and you say it 'speaks to you' sorry but that to me is an addiction. it is altering the chemicals in your brain causing you to think and behave a certain way. i don't need a mushroom to 'speak' to me to find. they taste better on my pizza. lol. besides i've had some supernatural experiences that tell me a higher source controls my life. goodbye.

  • @catwomanFL72 I encourage you to look up the meaning of addiction. Mushrooms most certainly have an opposing effect in that you want to distance from the substance shortly thereafter. Yes, you're completely entitled to live your own life, and have your spiritual experiences by your own means. I'm not taking that away from you. But coming into a Terrence McKenna video and spewing false info based on preconceptions of the psychedelic experiences you lack, doesn't reflect well on your intellect.

  • @Raelsatu lol. this video cite is opened to all. its not private and if i were 'spewing false info' my friend why would you, who claim to be sooo intellectually above me bother to respond to my comments? i just have a problem with drugs or anything used as such...its personal. but if you want to make this your choose well i guess thats your path...thats your process. goodbye

  • @catwomanFL72 Well. When did I say you can't comment? And when did I say I'm "so above you"? I did say your intellect falls short in this regard because you're deriving truths from preconceptions. Most of us don't make the mushroom our God, nor are we addicted to. I haven't tripped on psilocybin in over a year. Does that make me an addict? Again, you're entitled to feel objected to entheogens personally; but remember your [spiritual] beliefs are equally subjective.

    Blessings

  • @Raelsatu my spiritual beliefs are equally subjectives? doubt that. but we're all entitled to our own opinions. my God created the mushroom. yet as i mentioned before it is not for me to convince you to take my advice. its not my path. this is your path. your process just as it was McKenna's. thank you for the blessing. God bless you too. bye

  • @catwomanFL72 these are teacher plants...if you havent experienced ...you dont know...in fact...a low dose of psilocybin every day for a week will detox somebody from heroin addiction....allowing them to be free of the addiction without the excruciating withdrawal symptoms....there is much valuable research being done on this.....psilocybin do not activate anything in the brain...they simply switch off certain areas that are constantly editing what we experience....pre frontal cortex areas..

  • @catwomanFL72 you sound exactly like my mother shes smart enough to understand it but is a girl and is too afraid too even try to go down the rabbit hole

  • @problyout thank you she needed that

  • @catwomanFL72

"if you use a powerful substance like this for purposes other than medicinal and you say it 'speaks to you' sorry but that to me is an addiction."

That is not addiction. Addiction is characterized by an inability to cease a behavior despite the desire to. I have used these substances for spiritual, medicinal and recreational purposes. I have no desire day-to-day to use these substances.

Blessings to you on your path

  • @catwomanFL72 you can't talk about shrooms if you've never tried it

  • @catwomanFL72 well i assume you've never done it, for if you have you'd know it isnt addicting

  • @pointlessaccount100 REALLY?!!!!

  • @catwomanFL72 yup now you know :]

  • @pointlessaccount100 A student might hold a human brain in his hand on a field trip to an autopsy lounge. There are neuroscientists who have not held onto a brain. Who is the expert? A person who studies the composition and effect of mushrooms can comment more than someone tripping out on the weekends with their friends in front of a lava lamp. The mushroom is one road to consciousness expansion. If you're on a similar path you can understand a shroom experience.

  • @caseyface3 the shroom experience is a fascinating thing. I've done it once (i believe about 2g dose) My thoughts were different, the world was different, and it really gave me a different perspective. I feel that I still haven't gone far enough though.

  • @pointlessaccount100 you need a 5g dose for true boundary dissolving effects.

  • @caseyface3 Studying the physical reality in order to understand a non-physical phenomenon (like our mind) is pointless. You can look as deep as you want to find where the "existing" meets the "non-existening", but you are seeking a finite point in infinity. You can squint as hard as you want, build newer apparatus to see even smaller bits, you can't see non-existence by seeking existence. So "neuroscientist" might map the physical structure and firing sequence of the brain...

  • @caseyface3 ... but they won't be able to "scientifically" explain the "psychedelic realm" (or mind) and it's functioning. They will never truly "own" it by poking it with "sophisticated sticks". The feeling of 100% understanding comes from experiencing the very phenomenon you observe. You have to consume it and see it "from the inside", observing by experiencing it every bit of it at once. Like you swap positions. Now your perspective, your consciousness is IN. You live "it", understand it...

  • @caseyface3 ... When the experience is over, you understand it, but you can't describe it to anyone, because our language is limited to our physical existence. If someone claims, that he can describe it, so everyone will understand it, I just laugh. It's like telling someone metaphors to describe orgasm. You are the only one who can experience it. Psychedelic experience is like an orgasm (=peak ecstasy), you have to experience it to relate to it and still you won't know how it feels for others.

  • Five hours into liberty caps walk and the video just loveee man!!! And its like all he talks about is just a summary of all i already knew nothing new from him at all. Thanks for this upload love and peace to u brother
