This science can dramatically improve lives. Religion is nothing but an obstacle caused by people who or either stupid or desperate. It does nothing but cause problems. Stem Cell research is fantastic and should be used as much as possible. My mother has been paralyzed from the waist down when I was 10, I'm now 18. Other cells don't work and never have. What we need is the new law to pass that will use embryonic stem cells that will otherwise be flushed down the toilet. These are "in vetro" cells already made in a test tube and inserted into the mother. There are thousands and thousands of leftovers that don't get used and end up being flushed down the toilet. Let the new cells live and save lives. Let the new laws pass. Not to mention cures for cancer spinal cord injuries and a host of other ailments.
