Gordon awakens 20 years in the future. But i must say at the end of EP. 2 its obvious the g-man sent the two advisors to kill Eli. Just watch his facial expressions, and the Vortigaunt barrier in episode one is also a dead give away.

Do I have a different version of the game, or something? My shotgun's different, and I have an M16 with a grenade launcher, not an MP5. For that matter, no MP5 in existence equips a grenade launcher.

I believe that is why it was changed in the HD pack. They act like MP5 with a grenade launcher is standard issue. Do you know where I can get a mod to make my Colt M4 have a separate ammo reserve from the pistol?

Half-Life was a challenging game, way more harder than Half-Life 2. The only really hard part which was nearly impossible in Half-Life 2 was Nova Prospekt when you had to fight waves and waves of enemies.

That was the only part I used sv_cheats 1 and god.

Haha, but I've found a great way to overcome it without cheats. I take advantage of the dumb AI. Take a turret, then go into the space where the turret was, while still holding your turret out. Just keep holding that turret and you'll be safe.

You must fight against over 100 of the most powerful enemies with absolutely no weapons (and therefore, no way to do damage). You are basically committing suicide if you don't choose to go through the portal.
