rene sings beautifully on this performance but i must comment on the sheer genius of phil everly here.he has been willing to stand by in the background for many years and take so little credit for his great talent,a truly gifted man,without whom there would have been no beatles,hollies etc,and later,no eagles, crosby stills and nash and maybe no me....god bless the guy.

You are so right.. Phil has always been the go-to-man when you needed the best person in the world to do harmony! He & Don, but mostly Phil have sung backup & harmony for years on other artists songs. Starting in the early years with Roy Oberison, Buddy Holly.. later Johnny Cash, Paul Simon. Phil, especially in the 70's sang harmony on many songs as a favor to a friend such as Linda Ronstadt... seldom getting credit where crdit was due. But, that's the kind of nice guy Phil is, always has been.
