Looking at the video frame by frame, I think there are signs of smoke at 3/4 strip then just before the line the car's rear suddenly snaps right. This is consistant with a mechanical breakage slowing the left wheel. The smoke was probably from the differential as it started to self destruct and the right wheel driving the car right . The left rear lifts and the tyre can be seen to be off the road before the car is completely sideways. The diff could then lock up with broken metal bits.

That's because the commentator is and idiot, looks like they ran about a high9 to 10second pass meaning that where he started wheelspinning before the finish line he was actually probably doing about 130 MILES an hour, not kilometers, meaning the commentator either just accidently said the wrong thing or he's got no idea and should go back to commentating on greyhound racing...

yeah i was in a head on wreck, and it was on film bc a cop car was behind me and i flipped nine times.. i figured he would flip more but i guess the pavement and sheet metal dont have all that great of traction to keep it rolling.. i got hit in the shoulder lane and i rolled in the ditch for about 100 yards or so and i guess the dirt caught traction and kept my truck rolling idk.. but i remember the roll never paused for a sec like this car did.. it just ket rolling and rolling and never stopped

by the front tyre breaking the finish line beam, nothing to do with front body work

it can be the nose of the car sometimes, coz the cars are high enough to stage with the front wheels and then once they take of and reach the end of the track the down force on the front end of the car pushes it down slightly and the front of the car breaks the beam giving that driver an advantage over the other driver. This is generally with cars that have a fibreglass or carbon fibre nose cone or front end.

yes, but that is still very low, when you are going 150-300MPH that can easily push your front end down and break the beam

@RIPSNZ NHRA says the same. But it doesn't say anything about the car needing this clearance at speed. With your view, it would preclude any car bouncing, and would require suspension stops to prevent car from going lower.  I have never seen that, or heard of it. And that is not in the NHRA rule book. Your view would probably eliminate most any wheelstanding car when it comes back down!
