  • Hi nice video did you change anythings on the internals like HU or something else? I´m thinking about buying one of these but heard there is a improved version available now. Also the Type 56-2 is very nice.

  • @Exorcist1986 tightbore and a higher speed motor is all I added. They haven't changed the design in a few years.

  • what weight airsoft bb would you recommend for this gun

  • @stephen5arms either a 0.20 or a 0.25. Personalyl I got for 0.25 though.

  • how strong is the folding stock will it break easily?

  • @ROBERTODUZZ911 Nope, it's extremely tough

  • don't drop your gun if you don't know how to use it gave it to me i'll be happy with it xd

  • Mine just came in the mail, and I noticed the stock has a bit of play, both sideways and up and down. It wiggles when it's locked in position, in both positions. Does yours do this too? Is this supposed to happen, or did I get a defective one?

  • @finkster Mine is pretty solid, little bit of movement but not much

  • @finkster take it apart and where the screws are for the stock lock tight them or superglue them in it stops them working themself loose you can stilll take it apart after you superglue them but you have to super glue them everytime

  • How are these guns with mag compatibility? Would they work with those Lonex Flash Mags, or is RS like KWA in that you're only supposed to use mags made by the same company as the gun?

  • @finkster I know a few guys who use lonex and G&P magazines in them.

  • When fully underfolded; does the stock has lateral play sidewards, that when you push it a bit, the it would touch the sides of the woooden front handguard?

  • @ybrik5 Not sidewards because it's steel.

  • @clanfalcon Are you sure? Remember the cushion pad wrapped around the wooden forehand to protect it from the steel stock while it is folded during shipping? That's the sideward play I'm referring. Could you confirm that with yours?

  • woaaah totaly gt some balls man! u didnt have to throw the gun but you did to your own gun .. that says ALOT! im buying two!

  • Hey I have been looking for the most realistic ak type weapon. It looks like this is it. But I also want it to perform extraordinarily and be close to what a russian spetsnaz member would use. Gotta replace the front sight too. Also I know the russian aks have rivets on the top of the upper. I want to get awesome internals upgraded but the gear box is a bit different. Anyone think they can help me or give advice?

  • @GoBIGclan If you want a spetsnaz weapon, i'd go for an aks74u or some of the more modern ak's, like the 101 or 103

  • @iRawrJan yeah but i wish there was a 74 that had quality externals and internals used to to make real firearms like with the real sword chinese mod. But I really wish that realsword could make an akm74 (or is it ak74m?) with the same quality...

  • @GoBIGclan That would be just splendid, well if you want a little bit more tactical setup maybe you should go for the type 56-2? There also are some high end aks74u's but I forgot their names :s Would be great though if rs made some of the more modern/tactical ak's like the ak74m assault rifle :D

  • @iRawrJan Yeah but I just can't find a good ak74 that lives up to real sword standards. Every one says the ak74 from vfx is the best but Ive been told by friend who has real sword and vfc and he says they dont compare. He only uses Ak models and hes got 6 years of airsoft experience so i trust him greatly.

  • @clanfalcon I just bought one from you guys and it doesn't have a rof like yours does...

  • @oOskyhighryOo That would be because I changed the motor to a G&P M120 high speed. Blatantly.....

  • @clanfalcon fair play i take it all back,so does this little upgrade void the manufacturers warranty or the warranty you offer??

  • @oOskyhighryOo Yes it would invalidate it

  • blatant lipo...

  • @oOskyhighryOo blatantly wrong.....

  • Good review, just bought the Type 56-2 from you guys! (John, the guy that emailed you like 10 times) Yet to shoot it in game, I'm in eager anticipation! :D

  • professionally trained scotsman ftw...

  • @aaron4820 i think he was trying to be like the professional Russian, lol

  • Do you play with Scoutthedoggie?

  • @Coolmans24 Have in the past a good few times yeah. I actually sold him his very first gun (a TM G£ SG1)! We play at different sites now. Not far apart though.

  • @clanfalcon Is that Type 56-1 of yours stock or have you done any upgrades to it? If so then what upgrades would you recommend?

  • @Coolmans24 G&P M120 motor, 9.6v stick battery and silver plated wiring.

  • @clanfalcon I've heard different things about the battery space, some people claim that it will only take an 8.4, yet other say it will hold a 9.6. So to clear things up a bit, will it take a 9.6v 1600mAh stick type?

  • @Coolmans24 it is tight but you can fit a 9.6v in there. I have done this before

  • please resond what battery where you using for the test?

  • @aresstedcorn 8.4v stick battery

  • hey land warrior does the stock become wobbly over time or is it solid as a rock many thanks because i just a bit stuck what to get the folding or the full stock one many thanks

  • @r33skyline4life Mine is still as solid as any real version I've held

  • and the type 56 has a 90 degree cut muzzle, the ak47 has a 40-45 deg. cut muzzle......I fancy one!

  • @ikarma70 The type 56 has a 45 degree gas block just like the AK-47. The AK-74 and 5.56x45 chambered AK variants have a 90 degree gas block usually.

  • @esh325 i was referring to the muzzle not the gas block......muzzle...bit in front of the foresight :D

  • @ikarma70 I still don't know what you mean.

  • please some respond, the clip it comes with is stupid i don't know how to use it?

  • @HaytchDee I presume you mean the magazine. I doubt the magazine is stupid.... have you tried reading the instructions??

  • ur ak's been drop kicked? were you fighting chuck norris?

  • Hey, how did you get the folding stock to open so easily? I've got a RS Type 56-1 and my folding stock is very very stiff. What would you recommend to get it as loose as yours?

  • @dykesy30 that's just the way mine is to be honest

  • @clanfalcon

Damn, could you recommend anything on how to loosen it up a bit?

  • @dykesy30 Drop it?

  • @clanfalcon

Lol. I'm not a professional Scotsman though :P

  • @dykesy30 Mhhhh, I could drop it for you?

  • @clanfalcon

Lol. Would you recommend any lubricant's that can be used to ease the action? Would WD40 be ok?

  • @dykesy30 Can't see it doing any harm to try.

  • @clanfalcon

Cheers. I just know that some lubricants are not friendly to AEGs.

  • @dykesy30 most are fairly fine, just not great long term. It's a steel part you are lubing so it won't cause any issue

  • @clanfalcon

    Good to know :)

  • do you do a paint job for non ukara holders? Some uk websites do this but you website is the only uk website ive found with real sword items in stock.

  • do you ship to cannada

  • @airsoftman471 Sorry we can't ship to Canada :(

  • Can't wait for the M4 series though I'm not sure if they will get though US customs.

  • @Shadowsta13 Time will tell but I am sure the rifles will be very much worth the wait!

  • I wish they produced the Russian true ak47 instead, but anyways do they have upgraded springs for this or can you just slap any AEG spring in it

  • @cobraz22 Any standard AEG spring will fit

  • tried something similar with my red star ak, front AND rear sights fell off. Conclusion= time for a new gun =D

  • glad to hear you're looking after it like a real one ^^ - have you buried it in wet sand for a year yet though?

  • @stewbacca117 Mhh I may come up with some other horrible test for it....... maybe not for a year though!

  • Not a V3 gearbox. Proprietary RS Gearbox. If theres an annotation I can't see it on mobile, so I apologize in advance.

  • @ScrewIntel yeah a slight mix up on my part. It's a T2 gearbox although many Version 3 parts do fit easily enough.

  • Oh yeah finally an AK ! :D The Replica of the Men... :))

I have a Type97B, and held a Type56 full stock version. The finish on the steel and on the wood is amazing. All of you guyz, even AK haters should hold a type56 once. It is that solid and well built, you will remember afterwards, however this is not a surprise as RS belongs to norinco who makes real steel guns.

Afaik the RS type56 series has unique gearbox though it looks like a std v3 it is narrowed down to fit real dimension receiver

  • Great review, always been an AK fan! I hope you don't test everything you own/buy in the same manner tho!

Visions of Nikkis engagement ring covered in scratches ;)

  • Which course have you followed to become a professionally trained Scotsman?

  • @WindOfArctic You have to eat many deep fried items, drink lots of alcohol and generally be afraid of the sun :)

  • By "Type62-2" I meant "type56-2" of course

  • I got to buy one some day...

Maybe not the old variant since I'm not that intrested in those but maybe the more modern Type62-2 , since our defence forces have some of those for tank drivers/ in case of war in some huge government pit just waiting for a never coming international crisis (war).
