In fact, you look at the failed banks (or the banking industry overall), it was either investment banks like Lehman Bros, Bears, insurance company, AIG, or plain vanilla banks like Wamu, Wachovia, etc. The Citi was the in fact the only one that benefitted from this repeal. In another word, the crisis would have happened either way.

Indeed he is proud of what is happening because he was the one with ex GS execs who had top positions in the administration that made up the paperwork to de regulate the banks.
