  • lol sparda, dante's father (dmc)

  • THIS IS MADNESS!!

    THIS..IS..SPARDA!!!

    FTW

  • @TTAdventure95213Alt It's called "TiggerNigger is Ghey"

  • @TTAdventure95213Alt Its called Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations. There are other seasons in the game such as Ace Attorney, Justice for All, Trials and Tribulations,Apollo Justice, Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney Investigations and Miles Edgeowrth Investigations 2. Its Kick-ass FTW! Play it in the right order to understand it better =D

  • True statement from the developers of Phoenix Wright: " We put things in this game because we could."

    Evidently so, developers. Evidently so.

  • DAMN! I missed this part because I didn't present anything irrelevant to Lisa. I don't wanna have to play through the whole case again just to experience it, though. X(

  • LOL I loved this part XD

  • in this game alone there were how many references...

I can only remember this one and the time Mia looked at Dahlia and thought "Well now we know who's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard"...I know there's about a million more but these are two I find most memorable.

  • Lol, I love how they put in stuff like that XD like in the Justice For All, they put in a line from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

  • @kylie123elric ya, when Moe the clown got whipped :3

  • aww man

This brought back memories, I wish there were more games! :(

  • This is madness!

    No, Maya, it's SPARDA.

    Me: Wow, that was lame...

  • @Animat8r Dante: HEY THAT'S MAY LAST NAME!

  • I love Capcom.

  • OH god... can't wait until I get that game in January~

  • lol i saw this when playing i dont really the references 300, fresh prince of bel-air,and the a-team and no maya this is spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarda

  • well, thats a Devil May Cry reference too, isnt it? or did they just randomly name it S.P.A.R.D.A. to sound like "Sparta"?

  • Wait wait.

Tell me. What fucking case is this?

  • @Jimpiedepimpie its T&T i forget what it's called.....the one where furio tigre did it

  • @Jimpiedepimpie Trials and Tribulations case 3, Recipe for Turnabout.

  • @creamypeachyzodiac13 I figured. Its the 3rth most scariest thing from the entire series (3. The chef. 2. Viola. 1 Kristoph's devil hand.

  • @Jimpiedepimpie I found Dahlia Hawthorne's butterfly burning stare very scary indeed...but you're right, not as scary as Jean Armstrong (shudder)

  • @Jimpiedepimpie case 3 in trials and tribulations

  • Lisa Basil and Glen Elg

Both names are palindromes, in other words, they will be spelled the same both backwards and forwards, just like DAD or LEVEL.

I found this weird, but should I expect Phoenix Wright to make weird puns like this?

  • @videomaker580 Yeah, pretty much every ace attorney name is a pun.

  • @videomaker580

In the credits, Lisa also mentions Adam Mada as a new programmer.

  • What is sparda?!

I hated it when I presented something and I had to read that whole part AGAIN

  • @VHudgensFan19 once you've already seen a scene, you can quickly skip through it by holding down on the next button.

  • Technically, it could also be a Devil May Cry reference, too, since it's SPARDA, XD.

  • S...P...A...R...D...A

    This is madness!

now we only need PW to say the final line

  • @andrevus2 but...he did say the final line ("no, maya, that is SPARDA")! Or did you mean, as in kicking Maya?

  • I'm gonna laugh if rick astley appears in AAI:ME

  • Sparda, with a "d", was also Dante's father's name in Devil May Cry, also from Capcom.

  • LOL! I just love the cultural references in Phoenix Wright games.

  • yeah i saw this too when i was playing ages ago

  • This made me laugh uncontrollably when I saw this in the game.

    Leonidas FTW!!

  • Glen Elg, what does the scouter say about his power level?

  • it doesnt say shit, he's dead

  • Miles: OBJECTION! THIS IS MADDNESS!

    Phoenix: maddness.....? THIS IS SPARTA!

*Pushes Miles down in a hole with finger*

  • lol it took me ages to realise Lisa Basil was a palindrome. (the same backwards as it is forwards)

  • look REAL CLOSELY at glen elg

  • Adam Mada. XD

  • Same goes for Glen Elg. ;)

  • Is SPARDA the name of a software, or something?

  • If you mean in reality, it's actually the name of Dante and Vergil's father in Devil May Cry, another franchise from Capcom. But if you mean in the context of the game, I have no idea...

  • And it stands for SuPer-Admin Restricted Desktop Acces!

  • @Lystius I think it's the name of the password software, it's SuPer-Admin Restricted Desktop Access, or to be short "SPARDA".

  • I have something in mind... Phoenix is about to kick Maya in some hole...

Phoenix: "Earth and fire... you'll find plenty of both down there."

Maya: "This is blasphemy! This is madness!

    Phoenix: "Madness?..."

    THAT IS SPARDA!

    *kicks*

  • earth and WATER.

you saw the vgcats comic, didn't you?

  • Well sue me.

  • You gotta fucking love that double reference !

  • what? this is madness! No, Maya, that is SPARDA.

  • SPARTA*

  • ITT commenters don't watch the video

  • Thread? Where? This isn't /b/ my friend. This. is. YOUTUBE.

  • There was also a Scooby-Doo reference in Trials and Tribulations (I think?). The Judge says "Ruh-Roh!" during one of the trials where some girl is angry. (Probably Dahlia)

  • Case 3 with Furio Tigre. There was a better Scooby-Doo reference in Justice for All Case 4 at one point when you run into Oldbag in her full costume and Nick says something like, "Zoinks, it's an alien!!"

  • There is only one word to describe this:

    AWESOME.

  • This is blasphemy!

    THIS IS MADNESS!

    Madness...

    THIS IS SPARDA!!!

  • Hahaha! I caught that reference 2 weeks ago <3

I was watching TV with my sister and playing PW (*Multi-tasking mastah~*) and when I read that, I was like "DAMN, AHAHA! I fucking love Phoenix Wright!"

  • WHAT! That is MADNESS!

  • No, Maya, that is SPARDA.

    X3

  • THIS IS SPARDA!!!!!!!!

  • NO! THAT IS SPARDA!

  • This is SPARDA!!! THIS IS SPARDA!!!

lol. SuPer Admin Restricted Desktop Acess password-proteceted.

  • ^_^'

  • I just got to that part. It's awesome. ^__^

  • SuPer-Admin Restricted Desktop Access password-protected.

  • Trials and Tribulations 3rd case

  • Which game is this from?

  • Phoenix Wright Ace Atorney its for the DS

  • that's almost as good as the milkshake brings all the boys to the yard one.

  • lol i remember that one.

  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney its for the DS

  • lolwut?

  • I remember this.

  • when did this come out? (for the DMC reference)

  • October 2007.

  • I remember this, but I have a speculations of why the initials read as S.P.A.R.D.A instead of S.P.A.R.T.A.

Sparda is in reference to Dante and Vergil's father mentioned in the Devil May Cry series. Capcom appears to have a habit of having character cameos or names mentioned in their games.

Though this is just a thought. Don't actually take this seriously, lol.

  • LOLLL. I remember this.

They referenced that song "Milkshake", Scooby-Doo, and something else...

  • "A s-spoon?! I'm no spoony bard, I'll have you know!"

  • Was that spoony bard line in a Phoenix Wright game? I know it's a spoof on that line from one of the Final Fantasy games, but where is it given in Phoenix Wright? (if it is)

  • @lseths the spoony bard bit is in trials and tibulations :) im pretty sure its in the last case, he gets called a fool or summit and the judge says "im no spoony bard" or summit like tht :D

  • lmao i remember that!!!!!! i played it just now!! i was like, awesome!!!

  • They should put a 9000 reference in Apollo Justice

  • "Detective Skye, what does the scouter say about Apollo's decibel level?"

".... MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH .... IT'S OVER NINE -MUNCH- THOUSAAAAND!"

    Chords of Steel FTW.

  • hahaha made me laugh ;)

  • ROFL I can just picture that happening! XD

  • they just added the over 9000 reference in ace attorney investigations: miles edgeworth. sal from the first game says it.

  • Toe-curlingly awesome.

  • Oh dear lawd
